A Boston radio host has ripped into Jordon Hudson amid continuing speculation that she is involved in Bill Belichick's career.
The former cheerleader has made headlines multiple times over the last few months with her beau, especially after their disastrous CBS outing in April. She is now being slammed for allegedly controlling the veteran coach's life "on and off the field."
In the past, Bill Belichick has denied these speculations, insisting that Hudson is only involved in his personal brand and not his career as a coach at the University of North Carolina.
Jordon Hudson Was Branded A 'Young Floozy'
On a recent segment of 98.5 The Sports Hub's Felger & Mazz, Joroan Hudson became a topic of discussion over her relationship with Tar Heels coach Bill Belichick, per the New York Post.
The veteran coach had recently made comments blasting his former boss, Patriots owner Robert Kraft, and while hosts Mike Felger and Tony Massarotti had plenty to say about him, it was co-host Jim Murray who first came out guns blazing against Hudson.
Three-plus minutes into the discussion, he branded the former cheerleader as the "young floozy" who's running Belichick's life "on and off the field."
Massarotti later followed up with a remark suggesting that the drama Hudson has stirred in recent months with Belichick might have the showrunners at UNC rethinking their decision to hire the veteran coach.
"That thing with Jordon Hudson, don't you think they're already questioning whether they should have done it?" Massarotti said, before adding. "Absolutely."
The Coach Has Denied Jordon Hudson Being Involved In His Career
Speculation about Hudson's involvement in Belichick's career first began swirling after she went viral in April for repeatedly interrupting a CBS News interview promoting his new book.
After months of not directly addressing the speculations, Belichick, in an interview in June, described the speculation and other controversy that had followed the relationship as noise.
"Is there noise out there? We've always dealt with that. Really, our job is to build a football team and help build the team and also build their individual careers," he said at the time in a press conference, per The Athletic.
The veteran coach then stated that Hudson wasn't involved in his career when a member of the press asked if Hudson would join him on the sidelines for the Tar Heels' first game of the season on September 1.
"No, she doesn't have any role in the UNC football program," he replied. "But again, there's been noise out there about a lot of different things. Our focus is day to day, getting better, stacking good days together."
UNC Receiver Revealed Players Aren't Distracted By Bill Belichick's Relationship With Jordon Hudson
Ahead of the start of the season, a key member of the University of North Carolina football team shared they weren't distracted by the noise around Belichick and Hudson's relationship.
"Social media can promote some narrative, but that was not a distraction to us at all," said UNC receiver Jordan Shipp in a chat with ESPN.
He added, "There was never a problem, like people saying she was running practice. We'd never really see her in the building.
And while Shipp claimed Hudson wasn't intruding at work, he added that there would be no issue if she chose to come by more often.
"If anything, I feel like it's not a distraction because it's always good to have somebody in your corner in the building, just knowing they support us," Shipp said.
Mike Lombardi Also Brushed Off Reports On Bill Belichick And His Girlfriend
UNC football general manager Mike Lombardi echoed the same sentiments in an interview with ESPN Radio's "Marty and McGee."
There had been reports that the team was being distracted by stories about Belichick's love life, but Lombardi brushed it aside.
"For us to be distracted by something that has no bearing, that has no relevance whatsoever, that is a complete falsehood in terms of what people are saying or what they're writing, it's comical," Lombardi said of reporting about the duo, per Pro Football Talk.
The UNC Football General Manager Plans To Ignore The 'Noise'
Lombardi also stated that talking about such "noise" gives the creators "credibility," and he won't do that because they are "completely false narratives."
"We're not going to allow it," he said. "We're not going to acknowledge it."
Lombardi continued, "We're going to move on. And look, let's face it, the proof's in the pudding. We're having a tremendous recruiting class. We had a tremendous portal."
