Addison Rae is heating up the denim game and sparking plenty of comparisons to Sydney Sweeney along the way. The 24-year-old TikTok superstar just dropped a sizzling new campaign with Lucky Brand, where she went topless, oiled up, and even pulled her jeans down to her ankles to promote her new Addison Ultra Low Flare line. The campaign also included a video of Addison Rae dancing provocatively, sending fans into a frenzy on social media.

In one striking shot, Addison sprawled across a row of theater seats in a tiny white bandeau that flaunted her cleavage and toned midriff.

Other images showed her completely topless, hiding behind a door with nothing but her bra hanging from the knob, or teasing fans by tugging her jeans off while flashing a sultry stare. At one point, she paired the bold looks with towering red-bottom heels, believed to be Louboutins.

The timing of Addison’s denim debut comes just weeks after Sydney’s controversial campaign with American Eagle, which drew backlash for leaning into the phrase “good genes.”

Compared To Sydney Sweeney’s 'Good Genes/Jeans' Ad

In Sydney’s clip, she buttoned up a pair of jeans while narrating, “Genes are passed down from parents to offspring, often determining traits like hair color, personality and even eye color… my genes are blue.” While the cheeky pun might have landed with some, critics blasted the ad as racially insensitive, accusing the brand of promoting “Nazi propaganda” by highlighting Sweeney’s blonde hair and blue eyes.

Now, Addison’s Lucky Brand rollout has fans drawing direct comparisons. One reader of The Daily Mail's report quipped, “lol never seen more Jean ads in my life.” Another teased, “Now THESE are good genes.” A third joked, “Dang jeans companies coming in hot.”

Meanwhile, someone else said, "This one does have better genes!” Another wrote, “I’m guessing her genes are brown, which is acceptable. Blue eyes seem to trigger a lot of people," and someone else commented, “Sex sells. Maybe it’s the end of the era of woke advertising.”

Beyond her steamy Lucky Brand campaign, Addison Rae has been making waves in the music world. On Thursday night, the TikTok star-turned-pop newcomer hit the Grammy Museum rooftop in Los Angeles for an intimate event celebrating her debut album "Addison."

Backed by collaborators Elvira Anderfjärd and Luka Kloser, Rae delivered stripped-down versions of three tracks, “Diet Pepsi,” “Headphones On,” and “Fame Is a Gun.” Fans packed the rooftop, singing along passionately during “Diet Pepsi” as the stage shimmered with sunflower décor to match Rae’s vintage-inspired dress and the yellow hues of her album art. “This is so… intimate,” Rae quipped between songs, leaning into the cozy, low-key atmosphere of her first L.A. headlining performance.

Addison’s breakout hit “Diet Pepsi” has taken on a life of its own, even landing an unexpected orchestral makeover thanks to Broadway star Ben Platt.

At this year’s Las Culturistas Culture Awards, Platt delivered a dramatic, emotional version of the track that quickly went viral. When Addison stopped by Zane Lowe’s Apple Music show, he asked the question everyone was wondering.

“‘Diet Pepsi’ and Ben Platt, we gotta ask what you think because it was such an amazing, dramatic, emotional take on this brilliant modern pop song,” Lowe prompted.

Addison confirmed she had seen the performance and was blown away. “It was a very full circle moment because some of the people who worked on that song, I had worked with on my EP, so that was funny and full circle,” she shared, calling the cover “amazing.”

Despite a whirlwind year filled with viral campaigns, high-profile performances, and critical buzz around her debut album "Addison," the pop newcomer was shut out of this year’s MTV Video Music Awards, and she isn’t ignoring the disappointment.

Speaking with Lowe, Addison admitted the snub stung but said she refuses to let it define her artistry. “Not everybody was gonna accept it and enjoy it, but I think I will never let that change the way I view creating and making music videos or making songs and putting out different organizations of music and groups of creative decisions,” she explained.

Still, Addison acknowledged the frustration of putting in the work only to be overlooked. “It definitely is funny whenever you feel like you put in a lot of work into something and it doesn’t get recognized by some place that you feel like you were contributing to," she admitted.
