The Medical Emergency

We're told with about 10 minutes left in his show, the audience began erupting with screams and panic. It was soon revealed that a man in the crowd had apparently suffered a seizure. The Blast is told it was "complete mayhem" as the house lights immediately came on. Luckily, it was only for a minute before emergency crews arrived and were able to help and transport the ailing man to a hospital. We're told he is expected to be ok, although it's unclear what led to his medical emergency.

As for Spade, who was recently announced to replace disgraced "Bachelor" host Chris Harrison on the upcoming season of "Bachelor In Paradise," remained calm and professional throughout the medical emergency, and was eventually able to finish his set and receive the standing ovation he deserved. We're told the comedian is now trying to get in touch with the man who had the medical emergency to double-check on his health status and also offer up some free tickets for a future show.

The History of the Ryman

Performing at the Ryman Auditorium in Nashville was a pretty big deal for David Spade, as the legendary venue is best known as the home of the now-defunct, Grand Ole Opry, and has been frequented by iconic stars over the years, especially Dolly Parton.

A few years back, Dolly came back to perform at the Ryman and spoke about the role it played in her life and career:

"It's just sacred ground to me ... It's like going home. It feels like your family; it feels like your mama and your daddy and your whole family's just surrounding you. I just have a feeling in here that I don't get anywhere else," she told the press back in 2015.
