Sofia Franklyn, formerly one-half of the “Call Her Daddy” podcast, is speaking out about the effects the fall-out from the show has had on her.

Back in 2018, Barstool Sports obtained the rights to a little podcast called, “Call Her Daddy.”

The podcast was run by two mid-twenties hosts, Alex Cooper and Sofia Franklyn.

They discussed their past 'sexcapades', one-night-stands, sex, sugar daddies, and more sex while navigating life in crappy New York City apartments on a strict diet of vodka sodas and frozen pizza.

Fans of the show loved the chemistry between the show hosts and how in-depth they’d go into their personal lives.

Cooper and Franklyn lived, ate, slept, and worked together. They were truly inseparable.

The podcast quickly blew up, and the ‘CHD’ hosts had become celebrities in their own right.

As the show grew, so did egos, paychecks and job requirements of the hosts, which would prove to be detrimental to the show.

In April/May 2020 ‘CHD’ came to a crashing halt.

The “Daddy gang” as fans of the show are called noticed no episodes were being released between April and May, and the Instagram page of ‘CHD’ began posting cryptic messages hinting that something was NOT right.

Fast forward to May 17th and a message was published that read, “We are always 100% transparent with the Daddy Gang but legally we can’t speak out yet. What we will say is… We will never f***ing leave you Daddy Gang. The minute we can speak we will. #FreeTheFathers.”

Then, things took a turn for the worst.

Cooper and Franklyn were in heated debates with Barstool Sports owner, David Portnoy, over contracts and salaries.

Cooper agreed to the new stipulations of her contract and salary, while Franklyn opposed the new deal. This eventually led to Franklyn leaving the show, brand and Barstool all together.

Cooper would go on to host the show solo and make the podcast entirely her own.

Franklyn was made to look like the bad guy in the situation and was basically disowned by the “Daddy Gang.”

Undeterred, she started and released her own podcast, “Sofia with an F,” in October 2020.

She recently made an appearance on the “No Jumper” podcast to discuss the severe impact the public drama and fall-out had on her mental health.

When asked about “the drama” blowing up in the media headlines Franklyn said, “We were huge, but that drama just blew it the fk up in a way that I can’t even explain, it was wild. People love drama, they fking love it.”

She revealed that she really didn’t have a chance in the fight to defend herself.

“I think there was no strategy that could have saved me in that instance. Because if you’re looking at these ‘sports bros’ and the audience they had, and then you’re looking at the platform I was on for two years, you know, she was able to release her side to all those people. What did I have my Instagram account? I could get on the podcast and release anything.”

Despite the negative effects of it all, Franklyn is proud of the fact she went radio silent when s*** hit the fan, because a few months after things died down people missed her and wanted to know what she was up to.

“No Jumper” show host, Adam Grandmaison, asked Franklyn, “How would you describe your mental health while that was going on? Were you obsessively refreshing Twitter? Did you have to check out at some point?”

To which she replied, “I would go back and forth. I mean I’m still not recovered if I’m being completely honest. Like, I still have things that are lingering from that and it happened a year ago. Um, mental health NOT good. Let’s put it that way.”

As hard as she tried to stay away from social media, Franklyn new she needed a comeback, she knew she needed to know what people were saying about her and the narrative that was being created.

Well she made a comeback and it’s working out very nicely for her.

She said she is making way more money now than when she was on ‘CHD,’ and Franklyn said being your own boss is f***ing liberating!

Franklyn even said “it’s the best decision ever.”

Now that is what you call a comeback!
