Jonah Hill Reacts To IG’s Posts About Weight Loss With Endless Irony

Jonah Hill is a 37-year-old actor, director, producer, screenwriter, and comedian from Los Angeles, California.

Although he’s known for his comedic roles in films like “Superbad,” “Forgetting Sarah Marshall,” and “Get Him to the Greek,” he has also provided voiceover roles in “The Lego Movie,” provided dramatic performances in films like “The Wolf of Wall Street” and directed his own film, “Mid90s,” which was adapted from a screenplay that he wrote himself.

Although he has made substantial contributions to the entertainment industry, Hill’s dramatic weight loss has been all anyone has been talking about recently.

Although the “21 Jump Street” actor first started losing weight in 2011, he had to gain weight for his role in the 2015 film “War Dogs.”

Fortunately, he worked with “Magic Mike” actor Channing Tatumand his nutritionist in order to help him lose weight.

"I wish there was some crazy thing that I did, like a pill or a genie or something, but I went to see a nutritionist, and he told me what to eat and to change my habits and stuff," he explained.

By October 2020, Hill became so lean that fans almost didn’t recognize him. After growing a beard and snapping a photo without his usual glasses, fans weren’t quite sure who they were looking at.

“Who’dis?” one fan commented, while another wrote, “I thought it was Seth Rogan.”

After those comments, it seems Hill has been having fun teasing fans about his recent weight loss.

On Sunday, the “Funny People” actor posted a photo of himself wearing a pair of black slacks with a button-up white shirt and slip-on black shoes. He captioned the photo, “50 and thriving.”

The caption of the photo sent fans into a tailspin as they rapidly rushed to Google in order to double-check Hill’s real age.

“*Instantly Googles Jonah hill’s age just to check*,” one fan wrote, while another added, “Same I was trippin for a second.”

The fan confusion quickly made headlines, prompting Hill to take a screenshot and post it to his Instagram with the caption, “Important News!” followed by a laughing face emoji.

“At least they’re not confused if you’re thriving or not,” commented comedian Justin Long.

To add to the irony, Complex tweeted a selfie of Hill wearing shades to its Instagram account with the caption “chillin.”

Maroon 5 singer Adam Levine was one of the first to comment on the photo, writing, “fully aroused.” Hill later responded, “60 percent of the time it works every time.”

Although the comment might have come out of left-field for some, Levine and Hill are actually the best of friends, and Hill actually officiated Levine’s marriage back in 2014.

The pair actually grew up together in Southern California. “Our dads met in the principal’s office in junior high,” Hill once told Howard Stern. “We were in carpool. We lived at each other’s houses.”
