Jay Cutler has fired back at his ex-wife, Kristin Cavallari, after she claimed she has "never gotten a penny" from him following their divorce.
The former footballer, during a podcast appearance, labeled the TV personality's claim as "borderline slander."
Jay Cutler explained that no judge would allow his divorce from Kristin Cavallari to go through without him parting ways with a substantial amount of his wealth.
Jay Cutler Slams 'Reckless' Kristin Cavallari After She Claimed She Didn't Get Any Money

Cutler has responded to his ex-wife Kristin Cavallari's claims about how she "didn't get any money" from him after they reached a settlement in their divorce.
The former quarterback addressed the comments on a recent episode of his "Take It Outside" podcast, explaining that Cavallari lied about not getting a dime from him.
"Let's think about this logically. 'Not a penny.' OK. Married for, I don't know, seven years or so, three kids," Cutler said, per Page Six. "You can go and see how much I made in the NFL. It's online. You can see the contract from year to year and the total amount at the end of 12 years."
"So, you go to divorce and each side gets a lawyer, and then you go to court and there's a judge," he continued.
Cutler, who made about $128 million over his 12-year NFL career, further argued that "no judge in the state of Tennessee" would sign off on an agreement that left his former spouse with nothing and allow him to "keep every single dollar" he made during their marriage.
Kristin Cavallari Said She Didn't Get 'A Penny' From Her Ex-Husband

Cutler and Cavallari tied the knot in a 2013 ceremony that saw their then-10-month-old son Camden serve as the ring bearer.
They then went on to welcome two more children, Jaxon and Saylor, before announcing their split in 2020.
During a June episode of her "Honestly Cavallari: The Headline Tour" podcast, the former reality TV star said she "never" got "a penny" from him while discussing the creation of her company Uncommon James, which she launched in 2017.
"I have never gotten a penny from my ex-husband," the mom-of-three said. "I didn't get any money from our divorce, so let's just clear that up. Thank you."
The Reality TV Star Insisted That Jay Cutler Never Funded Her Company

Cavallari made the comment as she sought to dispel the notion that her success with her lifestyle brand, Uncommon James, was funded by Cutler's NFL earnings.
The company reportedly brings in millions in annual revenue, and the "Laguna Beach" alum has consistently asserted her role as the sole owner, saying she was never funded by any external source.
"Our revenue is close to $50 million a year, but because I was obviously a WAG — athletes' wives and girlfriends, if you're not familiar — people love to say that everything I have in my life is because of my ex-husband, and that my ex-husband funded Uncommon James," Cavallari said on the show.
She continued, "But I am, to this day, 100% owner, and I've never taken any outside funding."
Jay Cutler Says His Ex-Wife's Company Is 'Marital Asset,' Blasts Her Comments As 'Reckless'

After Cavallari's remarks about Uncommon James, Cutler noted on his podcast that the company was a "marital asset" because it was launched while they were married.
"It's irresponsible. I think it's reckless. I think it's borderline slander to insinuate that there was zero dollars split during the marriage that each side got," he shared.
"It's insanity. It's completely false, completely untrue. It is, it just is. I've got a divorce decree. I've got something that's signed by the judge — it's like, 67 pages — it says the number breakdown," Cutler added.
Although he kept the figures involved confidential, Cutler told viewers that it was "definitely not zero."
When podcast co-host Sam Mackey asked him if the money Cavallari received was "enough to live comfortably for the rest of your life," Cutler replied, "Without an absolute doubt."
The supplement business owner explained that he "hates" that he even had to address his ex-wife, but it "gets to a point where it's untrue."
Kristin Cavallari Said She Couldn't 'Steamroll' Jay Cutler

During a recent conversation with her best friend and celebrity colorist Justin Anderson, Cavallari explained that her standards for a future partner have gone higher than they used to be following her divorce from Cutler.
According to People Magazine, she confessed that dating became "really f-cking hard" because she's "not going for toxic anymore."
"I am never gonna settle," she said. "I am waiting for my perfect."
Anderson then pointed out that the 38-year-old TV personality has a history of attracting "really unhealthy guys," wondering if she'd ever had a different experience.
"I think you're dealing with guys who are insecure that you could steamroll," he said. "Has there ever been a guy that felt like, 'Oh, I couldn't steamroll this guy?'"
"I couldn't steamroll Jay," Cavallari replied. But Anderson disagreed, claiming, "Yeah, you could, you owned Jay."
"Yeah, but not in a way where I could do whatever the f-ck I wanted," Cavallari shared. "It wasn't like I could just run all over him."
