Taylor Swift is officially on to her next musical era, having finally won her years-long battle to purchase her masters.
But before she releases her next album, "The Life of a Showgirl," Scooter Braun, the man at the center of that battle, has a surprisingly simple message for her.
Braun previously spoke about his relationship with Taylor Swift during an interview after many Swifties suspected a song from her album, "Midnights," was about him.
Scooter Braun Shares A Few Words For Taylor Swift After She Opened Up About Receiving Masters On Travis Kelce's Podcast

During a surprising appearance on Travis Kelce's "New Heights" podcast, Swift recalled the moment she learned she officially owned her masters, explaining that she was overcome with emotion. Later, Swift went to Kelce with tears in her eyes and shared the good news with him, causing him to become emotional as well.
"I started crying too, you know I’m a crier," Kelce admitted before Swift added, "You were weeping."
A week later, TMZ caught up with Braun, who, in 2019, came under fire after purchasing Swift's catalog from her former record label, Big Machine, without giving her the chance to buy them herself. When asked for his thoughts on Swift's most recent accomplishment, Braun kept it short and simple.
"I wish everybody the best," he said.

After purchasing Swift's first six albums in 2019, Braun later sold them to Shamrock Capital in 2020. In 2025, the "Love Story" singer completed a deal with Shamrock to buy back her masters, ending her years-long battle to obtain what she had previously called "hand-written diary entries from my whole life."
In an emotional post, Swift, 35, explained to her fans how she'd almost given up after being led to believe for years that she'd one day own her music. “But that’s all in the past now," she wrote. "I’ve been bursting into tears of joy at random intervals ever since I found out that this is really happening. I really get to say these words.”
Swift's massive purchase of her master albums comes nearly a year after the singer concluded her record-breaking "Eras Tour," which consisted of 149 shows and grossed over $2 billion at the box office.
Braun Previously Opened Up About Taylor Swift Possibly Writing Songs About Him
Braun's statement isn't the first time the former music manager has spoken about Swift, either. In July 2025, Braun, who had also worked with prominent artists such as Justin Bieber and Ariana Grande, appeared on a podcast and shared his thoughts about Swift potentially writing about him in the song "Vigilante Sh-t" from her album "Midnights."
In the song, Swift sings about helping a woman get revenge on her grimy ex-partner; however, Braun confidently denied that the song could be about him in any way. According to him, he and his ex-wife, Yael Cohen, speak frequently and have fostered a great co-parenting relationship.
"That's the mother of my children," he said on the "Question Everything" podcast. "That is my family for life. I have a tattoo on my finger that says 'same team' after my divorce, because she and I are the same team for life. It's what we say to each other."
Swift Announced New Album On Podcast

Swift's appearance on the "New Heights" podcast also generated significant buzz for another reason: the singer announced a brand new album, "The Life of a Showgirl."
The album, which will be Swift's 12th, is scheduled for release on October 3, 2025.
The project's 12 tracks were produced by Swift, Max Martin, and Shellback. The album's title song, "The Life of a Showgirl," features vocals from pop star Sabrina Carpenter.
Experts Speak About Swift And Kelce's Relationship

Swift and Kelce also sent fans and media pundits into a frenzy as they analyzed the couple's chemistry on the "New Heights" podcast, pointing to their constant smiles, giggles, and "air-cuddles," according to a previous report from The Blast.
One instance that stood out to body language expert Inbaal Honigman is when Swift began telling the story about purchasing her music; she and Kelce shared a sweet moment with each other that sent fans into a frenzy.
Online, one user wrote, "Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce need to get married and have babies! This is my fairytale! I want a happy ending!!"
