Sydney Sweeney Told Sheer Fabric Does Not Constitute 'A Dress' In High Heels

Sydney Sweeney was mocked for her see-through look two years ago as she channeled the sheer trend for a red carpet event. In December 2023, the actress showed off her curves at the premiere of her movie Anyone But You in Australia, arriving at the Sydney event in a sheer gown.

Highlighting her famous figure in draping fabrics that displayed her cleavage and toned legs, Sydney kept safe with underwear on, but many fans weren't feeling it. The White Lotus star had some users sending love, but others trashed her, even saying that what she was wearing wasn't a "dress."

Popping with her golden tan as she posed for arrivals photo ops, the 27-year-old displayed her curves and toned waistline, flashing her cleavage via a dangerously low neckline, but with a bra beneath protecting her modesty.

Sydney highlighted her fit arms via a sleeveless design, with the dress's stitched piping adding some structure.

Flaunting her killer legs as her draping dress grazed the floor, Sydney rocked a small front slit, adding criss-cross accents higher up as she flashed a white bra and briefs set underneath. The Hollywood favorite added heels, wearing her light hair down and blow-dried.

Meanwhile, her glam team went all out, dolling Sydney up in matte makeup complete with glowing highlighter and blush, plus a red lip. Just Jared published the photos on Instagram, where comments came in fast.

"It's a toga party?" one fan asked. Slamming Sydney's look, another wrote: "At home people wear pants, jeans, or leggings, and t-shirts, meanwhile outside they wear their underwear and a sheer fabric and call it fashion." A third asked: "This is a dress?"

Sydney Sweeney is now the face of an array of brands, including footwear company Hey Dude. Earlier this summer, she sent out Summer Escape vibes for the brand's campaign, posing in a tight bathing suit and cowboy hat from the beach.

Sydney is also signed to designer Miu Miu, Armani Beauty, Samsung Mobile, and American Eagle, among other companies. There's a downside, though. "Privacy [is] huge," she told The Times UK.

"You don't realize how much that means until you lose it. I see all the time, 'Oh, they sold themselves, they knew what they were signing up for.'
