Jessica Simpson is sharing how she intends to navigate finding love again.

The singer is making it clear she'd rather meet someone face-to-face than scroll through dating apps. Looking back, Simpson met her estranged ex-former NFL player Eric Johnson through a mutual friend, and now she hints that a similar introduction may be the path to her next romance.

Jessica Simpson recently ended her 10-year marriage to Eric Johnson, though the two have managed to keep their relationship respectful as they move forward separately.

Simpson opened up about how she plans to approach dating again, making it clear she would rather not swipe through profiles. In her words, "It's a rough road out there in the dating world. I mean, I'm not getting on the apps yet."

She also emphasized that her ideal scenario would be a setup through friends. "I would love for a friend to set me up," she said. RadarOnline shared that it has been six months since she ended her decade-long marriage to Johnson, and now she feels ready to put herself back out there.

Back in April, the duo was spotted together in Carlsbad, California, spending time with their three children. The Blast reported that photos showed the family out together, though witnesses said the couple themselves seemed distant. 

The couple's dynamic aligns with what Simpson shared when announcing their separation, emphasizing that raising their kids would remain their top priority.

The outlet highlighted how, in January, Simpson emphasized that family comes first, asking for privacy and thanking fans for their support as she and Johnson focus on co-parenting.

Before announcing their separation, they had stopped wearing their wedding rings, indicating signs of trouble. Back in February, Simpson posted a Valentine's Day selfie to social media without her band, adding only a lipstick emoji as a caption. 

By November, Johnson was also spotted without his ring. Paparazzi caught the former NFL player in Los Angeles going through documents, and his bare hand did not go unnoticed.

While the couple stayed quiet publicly, sources shared that Johnson had grown increasingly frustrated, pointing to Simpson's unpredictable moods and what he saw as her obsession with cosmetic procedures.

In March, fans noticed a cameraman following her in a post promoting her new album Nashville Canyon, raising questions about what exactly she's filming.

Simpson is stepping back onto the stage with a one-night-only performance in Las Vegas this fall.

Billboard shared that the 45-year-old revealed plans on Thursday for a special show at PH Live inside Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino on November 8, marking another step in her musical comeback.

The Vegas stop adds to Simpson's string of live appearances this year, which also includes a performance at the Grand Ole Opry on September 9. 

She will be joining Kolby Cooper, Noeline Hofmann, and others as she celebrates the release of the second part of "Nashville Canyon." For fans, it is a long-awaited return. Simpson's last studio release was her 2009 holiday album "Happy Christmas."
