A partnership that’s “so fresh, so clean.”
Whirlpool and Outkast’s Big Boi have teamed up to launch a one-of-a-kind giveaway featuring five limited-edition Whirlpool Front Load Washers that play the iconic hit “So Fresh, So Clean” after every cycle.
This custom washer boasts a matte black finish, has thousands of hand-placed crystals, and a certified fresh and clean badge signed by Big Boi. Fans can enter to win one just like Big Boi has, between August 19 and September 23, 2025.
Big Boi recently had some time to chat with The Blast about this partnership as well as the 25th anniversary of Outkast’s hit album, “Stankonia.”
Your Wash Can Be 'So Fresh, So Clean' Just Like Big Boi's

When asked how he’s doing, Big Boi responded, “I'm super fantastic, phenomenally well, perfectly whole, complete, blessed, highly favored,” and you can be too if you are one of the lucky ones to nab Whirlpool’s new limited edition Front Load Washers engineered to play OutKast’s hit song, “So Fresh, So Clean” after every cycle.
He explained how this partnership came to be and why he thought it was the perfect fit for him.
“They called up and was like, you know, the kings of ‘so fresh, so clean’ and the washing machine kings need to get together,” he told The Blast exclusively.
“We are on theme, we are on code, we got the same mission - to be the cleanest that we can be and the freshest we can be, and they was like, we want to put your song on the new Whirlpool washing machine. I thought it was just a chime, but they have the original track playing at the end of the wash cycle, so I was like, oh man, that’s dope, I gotta do it.”
You Can Enter To Win A Limited Edition Whirlpool Washer

Whirlpool Smart Front Load Washer with FreshFlow Vent System is currently available for purchase in stores and online. There are only five limited-edition machines that have Big Boi’s signature on them and will play Outkast’s hit song, “So Fresh, So Clean,” that fans can win via the sweepstakes.
Fans can enter from August 19 through September 23 by following WhirlpoolUSA, liking, and commenting #whirlpoolsofresh on Whirlpool and Big Boi’s Sweepstakes post. If you tag a friend in the comment section, you’ll get an additional entry. Winners will be notified through a DM on Instagram.
Big Boi Shares A Laundry Tip He'll Never Forget

When asked if he has any laundry tips or routines that he swears by to keep his clothes “so fresh, so clean,” he shared one thing he now knows is important to remember.
“Don’t wash white socks with black t-shirts. I just learned this lesson,” he shared. “Maybe a couple weeks ago, couple months ago, I started doing laundry, it’s kind of therapeutic when I’m at home, and my mom showed me how to put bleach in and to make my socks back white. I was always terrified of bleach when I was young because I just always thought it would tear your clothes up.”
He continued explaining that he was washing dark and light clothing at the same time “just to get stuff clean” but now he knows to separate them and wash them separately, and says he goes by the “washing machine rules.”
Outkast's 'Stankonia' Turns 25 This Year!

This year brings a big milestone for Outkast - their hit album "Stankonia" turns 25! When talking about how 25 years just flew by, Big Boi said, "That time just get away from you."
He reminisced about a specific memory from making the album that sticks with him to this day.
"I can remember when we were doing 'Ms. Jackson' and Aaron Mills, the bass player for Cameo, knocked on the back door of the studio. It was raining cats and dogs, and we didn't have the bass line on the song," he shared with The Blast. "He came in, and in one take, he played the bass line on the song. And I just remember that room would start glowing purple. It was crazy."
When asked if he has a favorite song from the album, he explained that it's "all of them." He said it's hard to believe that so many hits came from the same record, including "Ms. Jackson," "So Fresh, So Clean," "Bombs Over Baghdad," and many others. Big Boi believes that "Stankonia" has stood the test of time because of "all the experimentation."
"It was not just one thing, like all of our albums, it takes you on a journey," he said. "It's not one tempo. It's not just one instrument. It's all types of sounds and vibes. And it's energetic. 'Bombs Over Baghdad' is like a musical defibrillator."
What's Next For Big Boi?

Being in the music industry for so long doesn't mean Big Boi is slowing down. He revealed that he's been in the studio for the past two years "beat harvesting."
"I have so much music that I've been recording with Killer Mike," he said. "And I have some special things that are coming soon. I'm just looking for the right situation, but it's coming. It's coming very soon. "
The beloved rapper is also looking forward to some live performances, such as the Dungeon Family Reunion in Atlanta in October and Red Rocks in Denver. He said he's pretty booked through February at this time.
