A$AP Rocky is putting the beef between him and former president Donald Trump to rest.
The rapper is letting bygones be bygones, despite that little incarceration stint he did in Sweden back in 2019.
Over the weekend, A$AP was at the Tribeca Film Festival in New York City promoting his new documentary, “Stockholm Syndrome.” A$AP held a Q&A with fans after the world premiere.
Some disgruntled Trump supporters in the audience spoke out, wanting to know where the rapper and Trump’s relationship stands today.
“Stockholm Syndrome” documents the star’s arrest and imprisonment in Stockholm, Sweden following a street altercation involving two men in 2019.
According to People, the documentary showcases the star’s fight for his freedom and his experience with the Swedish judicial system after he was arrested and charged with assault in the country. The film also chronicles his “meteoric rise” to music stardom.
So, where does Trump come in to play?
Well, the former president intervened while everything was going down in Sweden. Trump had lobbied for the entertainer’s release by personally calling the Swedish prime minister.
However, according to Rolling Stone, A$AP felt Trump “didn’t free him” from the Swedish jail, but rather, “he made it a little worse.”
Shockingly enough though, A$AP has no ill-will towards Trump.
When Trump’s supporters confronted the rapper about why he didn’t give Trump credit for getting him freed from jail, he responded, “Nah we good.”
You know what else is “good” for A$AP, his love life.
The rap star is currently dating Rihanna and he is completely smitten.
Head over heels in love, if you will!
In a recent interview with GQ for the June/July 2021 issue, A$AP gushed over Rihanna and called her “the one.”
He continued to gush over his lady love telling the outlet she’s made his life brighter and changed his world.
A$AP called the singer the “love of his life; my lady,” and “I think when you know, you know. She’s the One.”
Rihanna actually makes two cameos in the documentary in addition to some of A$AP’s other famous friends like Kim Kardashian, Naomi Campbell, Tyler the Creator and more.
While speaking to Entertainment Tonight, A$AP said of Rihanna’s support throughout this entire process, “It’s important having that support in real life, you know?”
He continued, “It’s amazing and I’m honestly truly blessed, for real.”
Congratulations, A$AP!
