There have been many marriages that fall apart on the Real Housewives franchise. Viewers have unfortunately witnessed some of the most stable of relationships take a hit and not get back up. Divorce is so common among the franchise that it is almost expected, and fans get to see it all unfold (usually). While most of the women try to keep their divorce proceedings under the radar, that is not always an option in a majority of cases. There hasn’t been one franchise yet that hasn’t had to deal with a marriage breakdown. Thankfully, not all of them ended in divorce, and in some cases, a few of the couples even got back together. Below are some of the most salacious divorces in housewife history… so far.

Let’s just get these two out of the way. Currently, Erika Girardi and her soon-to-be ex-husband Tom Girardi are not only getting a divorce, but they are also under investigation for fraud and a number of other shocking allegations. The two have been together for over 20 years so, for fans and her friends, it was an absolute shock when the singer announced she was calling it quits. The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star also cited infidelity for the dissolve of their marriage. That being said, most fans believe that the couple is using their breakup to “embezzle money”.

The Real Housewives of Atlanta cast member is currently going through an on-again/off-again divorce with Marc Daly. Both Daly and Moore have filed for and called off their divorce on more than a few occasions. One of the incidents even took place while Moore was filming. Fans thought it was shady when the actress showed up a few seasons ago married out of the blue with co-star Nene Leakes speculating that nothing good could come from it. While most of their divorce is under wraps (when it is taking place), Moore has mostly good things to say about her ex and shared with Andy Cohen on Watch What Happens Live that they were currently “in a good place.” But let’s be real, she has said that so many times before.

Everyone that religiously watches the Real Housewives of Orange County had an opinion about Meghan King and Jim Edmonds. The couple was interesting to watch because Edmonds always seemed annoyed with his wife. However, a divorce? That came as a shock and how messy it got was more shocking. By the time the couple split they had a daughter and King had recently given birth to twins. The mom of three alleged that she had found text messages of a sexual nature that her husband was sending to women, and they included photos. She later accused him of cheating on her with their children’s nanny, a woman he would later admitted to “spending time with”.

Bethenny Frankel filed for divorce from Jason Hoppy in 2013 but it took eight years to actually finalize it because of a bitter custody battle over their daughter Bryn, now 11. Frankel being who she is has kept most of her divorce proceedings under wraps. Even after she returned to the Real Housewives of New York for a short period of time, she basically acted like she was not going through a horrible divorce. She described living with Hoppy as “torture” after they separated. The couple eventually came to a decision on their divorce in 2016 but for some reason, it did not become official until January of this year.

It is just us or do most people forget that Porsha Williams was once a married woman. Unfortunately, her divorce to retired football player Kordell Stewart embarrassingly played out on The Real Housewives of Atlanta. They were married for nearly two years before Williams said she was “blindsided” by divorce. The mom of one was often criticized by her co-stars for how meek she would act around her husband. In a humiliating move, Williams admitted she found out about her divorce in a news article. The reality star is now wrapped up in a new scandal. She recently got engaged to the man who is still technically married to her housewife “friend” Falynn Guobadia. Awkward.

The franchise is not short of drama but something about the dissolve of a marriage brings big numbers. Currently, the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills is doing great thanks to Girardi’s divorce and few other things. The Real Housewives of New Jersey also got a boost in ratings when Teresa Giudice came home from “going away” and filed for divorce from her husband, who was the reason she went to jail in the first place. Seriously, you can’t make this stuff up and it only seems to get juicier.
