Michelle Obama recently proved that First Ladies can be superheroes too. She found herself in an emergency on the tennis court and didn’t hesitate to save the day.
The former First Lady rushed to attend to an injured player at Martha’s Vineyard tennis club, making sure he was okay before help arrived.
Obama went further to introduce herself to the injured man and remained friendly and accommodating towards him.
Michelle Obama Jumped Into Action To Help An Injured Player

Hospitality expert David Rabin and an NYC restaurateur were playing on the court next to Obama when the incident happened. According to an eyewitness, the player, who was Rabin’s brother-in-law, attempted to “chase a lob over his head” when he fell to the ground. He then took a nasty fall, tearing his hamstring in the process.
“It’s like he’s showing off for Michelle Obama and he trips! He’s lying on the ground… and she’s looking, and David Rabin is looking, and then they both realized he was actually hurt,” the witness recalled.
As soon as the former First Lady realized the gravity of the situation, she sprang into action. She immediately rushed to the injured player’s side and called for her security personnel to check on him.
When the Secret Service agents arrived at the scene, they called for an ambulance and used a first aid kit to attend to the injured player in the meantime.
Obama firmly remained by the injured party’s side, constantly checking on him. She introduced herself in a friendly manner and went further to pose for a picture with him.
When speaking on the incident, Rabin told Page Six he and his brother-in-law were trying to give the First Lady her space when the accident happened. However, he had nothing but praise for Obama for how she handled the situation.
“…When my brother-in-law fell, she immediately sent her Secret Service team into action. They were amazing, and so was she. She came right over and said hi to all of us and suggested a picture,” he said.
Rabin said Obama was “delightful” and even advised him and his brother to stretch as often as possible due to their age.
The Former First Lady Recently Sparked An Unexpected Feud With Stephen A. Smith

Obama’s superhero stint at Martha’s Vineyard comes shortly after she sparked an unexpected feud with Stephen A. Smith.
The ex-FLOTUS was speaking in an episode of her "IMO Podcast" when she likened listening to ESPN to watching “Real Housewives of Atlanta.”
“It’s the same drama, and they’re yelling at each other, and they don’t get along, you know? I mean, Stephen A. Smith, he’s just like every other talk show host,” the 61-year-old said.
The ESPN Star Fired Back At Obama For Her Comments

Meanwhile, Smith didn’t find humor in the ex-first lady’s statement and found her comments disrespectful.
The TV personality stated that there was “no relationship” between what he does on the network and the TV show. He didn’t think it fair to compare some of the “greatest athletes” on earth to TV stars that “can barely act.”
“You also have to take into consideration that she doesn’t really pay much attention to sports; evidently, she leaves that to her husband,” Smith further added, according to The Blast.
Stephen A. Smith Insists He Holds No Animosity Towards Michelle Obama

After lashing out at Obama, Smith later addressed the situation, saying it had been blown out of proportion. He insisted that there’s no negativity between him and the Harvard Law School graduate, because to him, she’ll always be his First Lady.
As reported by The Blast, the NBA analyst again added that Obama was the “greatest” First Lady in American history, and he holds her in high esteem.
He raised concerns about the legitimacy of her husband’s interest in sports but maintained the stance that he had nothing but respect for her.
The Former FLOTUS Recently Addressed Divorce Rumors

Just last month, Obama opened up about the divorce rumors that had been flying around about her marriage to the 44th President of the United States.
The former president joined his wife on the "IMO Podcast," during which they cleared the air, saying that all is fine and well in paradise, per The Blast.
The ex-FLOTUS noted that whenever people don’t see her together with her husband, they tend to assume there’s trouble. She declared undying love and loyalty to her husband there and then and said that she has never thought about “quitting” on him.
