It was mega humor and mega workout action today as Olympic gymnast McKayla Maroney talked "high standards" and "low squats." The 25-year-old former athlete and London 2012 Olympics face was, on Sunday, back for another update on her Glohé wellness Instagramswitching up yesterday's talk on sleep and going with an area she knows all too well. Posting a stunning post-workout selfie in the sun, McKayla got witty in the caption as she pumped her fans up. Check it out below.

Scroll for the photo, one that comes as McKayla was unable to work out for some weeks this year - in February, the vault queen made headlines for a late-night E.R. trip as she was diagnosed with kidney stones, then returning for kidney stone surgery after the stones wouldn't "budge."
Back to the grind, but showing herself after her sweat session, the GEICO face shared a sunbathing selfie in shiny leggings and a matching sports bra, showing off her abs and her sassy vibes while lifting up her shades.

The gymnast opened with a big mood for the weekend, writing: "Happy Sunday!" Continuing, she added: "Hope you’re having a good day wherever you are in the world. I just finished my morning workout! 🤸♀️Quick reminder to keep your squats low, and your standards high. 😘

McKayla, this year making headlines for her "clam" Pilates workout, clearly knows what she's talking about. She's also quite happy to work out at home with frozen peas and bread.

McKayla seems to appreciate that not everyone following her wellness account comes with a pro athlete background. In fact, she's been dispelling misconceptions over her own one, telling fans: "Some people think that because I competed in the Olympics I must have motivation all the time.. but in my next post, I share my story of losing motivation all together."
"We all go through lots of hard things and motivation will leave us.. but no matter what never give up on fighting for a better life."

In 2019, and as she spoke to Byrdie, Maroney revealed the nightmare behind the glittery leotards. "When I wasn’t working out eight hours a day, I gained weight, and my coaches weren’t happy about that. So I really didn’t like my body for a while after I couldn’t really work out. I wasn’t eating that healthy when I was competing," she disclosed.
This year, meanwhile, has brought the star sharing her past binge eating disorder and anorexia battles as she reaches out to help others. If you missed her bed stretch, just scroll.
