Could couples reuniting be the hot new celebrity trend of 2021? If exes Angelina Jolie and Jonny Lee Miller are anything to go by… maybe! 

It seems that the once loved-up former husband and wife have been spending time together, igniting speculations about the status of their relationship. 

And, with (other) ex-husband Brad Pitt recently being awarded joint-custody of their children in a bitter court dispute, a little trip down memory lane might be just what Angelina needs.

Angelina and Jonny first met on the set of the iconic 1995 tech thriller ‘Hackers’.  Sparks flew immediately, and the glamorous couple wed just 6 months later, with Angelina only 21 years old. 

The relationship raised some eyebrows, with Angelina foregoing a traditional wedding dress for a white shirt with Jonny’s name written on it in her own blood. 

Perhaps this kooky start was a sign of trouble to come, as the couple split just a little over a year later, officially divorcing in 1999.

A celebrity reunion in 2021 isn’t exactly unprecedented. As anyone even remotely alive is aware, the word on the street is that the quintessential 2000s couple, Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck may or may not be back together.  

But, is it just nostalgia fueling the Angelina and Jonny rumors?

Not exactly… She was seen entering his Brooklyn apartment on Friday night, emerging only three hours later at 10:30 pm. 

Could they just have been reminiscing about old times? Considering she was carrying a fancy bottle of wine, it was likely a lively chat! 

It’s also worth remembering that Angelina has publicly expressed regret for the split, once calling it “the dumbest thing I’ve ever done.”

Hmmm… Could this mean a reunion? Read on to find out.  

Even if celeb reunions aren’t a 2021 thing, then divorces and separations certainly are. The last few months alone have seen the high-profile splits of couples like Bill and Melinda Gates and Kim Kardashian and Kanye West.  

Angelina had her own headline-making divorce with Brad Pitt back in 2019, after which a drama-filled custody battle soon followed. Between Jonny and Brad, she was also briefly married to Billy Bob Thornton, despite a 20 year age gap.

Jonny himself was married for a decade to actress and model Michele Hicks, before getting divorced in 2018. 

Well, can we expect a second stab at love for the couple? Read on below. 

Unfortunately, all we can do is speculate… At least until Jonny or Angelina makes an announcement (and we’ll keep you updated if they do!).

For now, it’s more likely that Angelina is spending time on her kids and career, with her new movie Eternals currently in post-production. 

Jonny himself is also otherwise occupied, with three films in the works and a budding Muay Thai career. 

That being said, we’re not totally ruling out a possible reunion just yet… After all, this was the year Friends did it!
