Joy explained that she knew something was wrong with her second pregnancy after she experienced spotting, unlike her first. She noted the bleeding got heavier with time until one day she felt like she had to pee, and the situation escalated.

"It was like I gave birth. It was like I did, essentially," Joy said. She recalled screaming and crying, which caught Viall's attention, and he rushed to the bathroom. The media personality noted her thought at the time was "How [am I] supposed to stand up and flush this baby down the toilet?"

Joy broke the news about her second miscarriage in March, sharing a statement on her Instagram Stories. TMZ reported that she discovered she was pregnant shortly after her first miscarriage.

Unfortunately, her happiness soon turned into sorrow as she had to undergo a dilation and curettage (D&C) after losing the baby.
