Taylor Swift’s Emotional Podcast Moment Leaves Travis Kelce Weeping Too

Taylor Swift turned a cozy podcast chat into one of her most emotional and powerful moments yet.

In a rare appearance on the “New Heights” podcast with her boyfriend, Travis Kelce, and his brother, Jason Kelce, she broke down talking about the moment she finally regained ownership of her master recordings.

The outpouring of emotion had both her and Travis in tears. As if that wasn’t enough, she also announced her 12th studio album, “The Life of a Showgirl,” officially launching a new era that feels deeply personal, triumphant, and unforgettable.

On Wednesday, Taylor made her debut on the “New Heights” podcast, and the episode featured many vulnerable moments.

In one such moment, the singer opened up about her process of regaining control of her music.

Taylor revealed that the thought of not owning her music lingered in her mind, describing it as an intrusive feeling she experienced on a daily basis.

Ahead of her May announcement that she had repurchased her old catalogue, she said she approached the deal “heart first,” wanting to show how much the work meant to her.

“I want it because this is my hand-written diary entries from my whole life,” the 35-year-old explained. “These are the songs I wrote about every phase of my life. This is my photography, my music videos, most of which I funded, my artwork. Everything I’ve ever done is in this catalogue.”

The “Bad Blood” singer became emotional as she recalled sending her mother, Andrea Swift, and her brother, Austin, to meet with Shamrock Capital, the company that owned the rights to her music.

“Sorry, this happens, because I don’t ever really talk about it,” the “Love Story” crooner admitted, as Travis wrapped an arm around her with a proud smile. “They sat down with Shamrock Capital and told them what this meant to me.”

Taylor shared that she found out Shamrock Capital had accepted her offer not long after the Super Bowl, while she was staying with the 35-year-old in Kansas City.

“We were in Kansas City, and I get a call from my mom and she’s like, ‘We got your music,’” the pop icon recalled.

Taylor admitted the moment still overwhelms her, saying it had been a long time since it happened, yet every time she talks about it, the emotions come rushing back.

“I just very dramatically hit the floor, for real,” she said, tearing up again.

Taylor said that hearing the news made her “bawl my eyes out” before rushing to share it with her boyfriend, who was in the middle of a video game.

The NFL star quickly became concerned when she entered the room crying.

“He puts his headset down. He’s like, ‘Guys, I gotta go,’” she recalled. “I think you thought something was wrong. I was like, ‘I got my music back,’ and then just start absolutely heaving.”

Travis laughed as he remembered her collapsing in relief. “Just deadweight. Just deadweight,” he joked.

The Grammy Award winner then explained that now, instead of the ownership battle being a painful, intrusive thought, it is a constant reminder of her good fortune.

Taylor wasn’t the only one overcome with emotion. Travis admitted, “I started crying too, you know I’m a crier,” prompting his girlfriend to tease, “You were weeping.” His brother Jason chimed in with a laugh, saying, “Oh yeah, that’s the Kelce way.”

Taylor’s vulnerable moment sparked a lot of reactions from fans, with many praising Travis for being a strong support.

In a recent interview with GQ, Travis opened up about his relationship with the singer and how everything felt natural.

He explained that whenever he is with her, it feels as though they are just ordinary people, and when there are no cameras around, they are simply two people in love.

Speaking about how they started dating, Travis said, “It happened very organically even though from a media standpoint it was being tracked. It still happened very organically.”

Travis can boast of many things since his relationship with Taylor Swift began, one of which is turning her into a genuine football lover.

He shared that he had made the “Shake It Off” singer a football fan, noting that Swift has become deeply invested in the sport.

“She is the most engulfed fan now. She knows what the injury reports look like. She understands what special situations are, third and short—all these things because she just naturally loves to hear about my job,” he said.
