Sofia Vergara Celebrates '90s With 'Classy' Bikini Throwback

Sofia Vergara has been shouting out her '90s bikini-modeling days and proving mighty popular on Instagram as a result. The 48-year-old "Modern Family" actress is currently in the news for reflecting on her 11 years on the ABC sitcom, but it was taking things farther back recently as the Colombian-born actress revisited her 1990s Miami modeling era and posted a swimwear shot. Sofia, who has since rocked a red bikini while inside a giant shoe with probing from Ellen DeGeneres, was here going blue. Check it out below.

Scroll for the photo. Sofia was, prior to becoming the highest-paid TV actress in the U.S., a modeling face across coasts, even hosting her "Fuera de Serie" travel show.

The photo, definitely a head-turner, showed Sofia shot from behind, looking daring, and wearing a classic-strapped and pale blue two-piece with dark accents and a bra-like finish. Photographed amid railings and with blonde hair, Sofia sent out sass and a caption. "Another classy 90's #tbt because summer is coming!!!" she wrote.

The Walmart partner and Dolce & Gabbana face snagged herself over 300,000 likes, not far off what she gained with her bikini and shoe photo, one seeing fellow "America's Got Talent" judge Heidi Klum tell her she hasn't changed.

Sofia regularly admits she can't remember exactly when her throwbacks were taken, hence the regular '90s' captions. Zero complaints from fans, who form a much higher following than is seen with "Modern Family" faces including Ariel Winter and Sarah Hyland. More photos after the throwback!

Just yesterday, Sofia made headlines for opening up on the one thing she actually hated about shooting "Modern Family." The L.A.-based star revealed:

"I hate the dog,” continuing: “I’m not used to [having] a little dog on top of me and licking. I grew up in Colombia, where you have big dogs. It’s not that I have anything personal with her [the dog]."

Sofia is, of course, known for her own chihuahua Bubbles. As to the '90s, the era that's now in has also been mentioned by Sofia. More photos below.

Sofia was 22 when she landed her Univision TV gig, one that didn't come with much management and with Sofia mentioning a struggle as Hollywood wasn't too friendly towards Hispanics.

“I was very young when I signed my first contract, and I did it myself,” Vergara told Variety this year. “I needed a manager, and that didn’t exist for a Latina personality.
