Blake Shelton is reportedly seeking advice from longtime-married Keith Urban as he navigates a challenging moment in his marriage to Gwen Stefani.

The couple first met as coaches on "The Voice" in 2014, when both were still married to other people. A year later, they each went through divorces, began dating in late 2015, and tied the knot in 2021.

Divorce is reportedly not on the table for Blake Shelton, and Keith Urban may be the perfect person to turn to, seeing as he has been with Nicole Kidman for nearly two decades.

Sources say Shelton admires the stability Urban has built with Kidman, and he is eager to learn how to keep his own marriage just as strong. The two country stars have reportedly had long conversations about what it takes to push through difficult moments and come out stronger.

Shelton and Stefani have had their share of challenges over the years, from long-distance stretches to hectic schedules, but for Shelton, the goal is clear: divorce is not on the table.

According to an insider, "Blake has faced some rough patches with Gwen, but divorce is not an option." He is committed to making his relationship with Stefani last, and Urban's long-running marriage is serving as both inspiration and guidance.

Since the couple first met as coaches on the singing competition, spending time apart might not be something they are used to.

The Blast reported that when Stefani returned to the show solo as a coach in 2023, she still found a way to keep Shelton close, sending a sweet message through her choice of jewelry.

The singer rocked her signature "Shelton" and "Stefani" necklaces, a sparkling nod to her husband. As the Blind Auditions kicked off, the jewelry caught on the bright lights, shining brilliantly.

Her outfit was just as striking, a black-and-white checkered jacket over a crop top and pants, finished with a matching bow tied on her ponytail. The star's glam was on point, with nude eyeshadow, blush, and glossy pink lips.

Shelton and Stefani's relationship has been one of country and pop's most-watched romances, evolving from co-stars to husband and wife.

PEOPLE notes that both singers were married to other partners before finding each other. Stefani wed Gavin Rossdale in 2002 and shares three sons with him. Shelton married fellow country star Miranda Lambert in 2011. By the summer of 2015, both had announced their divorces.

Their bond started as a friendship but soon deepened into romance, and by late 2015, they were officially dating. They made their first red carpet appearance together at the Vanity Fair Oscar Party in February 2016 and even collaborated on music projects.

On October 27, 2020, the couple shared their engagement news, and less than a year later, on July 3, 2021, they tied the knot. The ceremony was held at Shelton's ranch in Tishomingo, Oklahoma, with close friend and "The Voice" host Carson Daly officiating the intimate event.

Shelton can hardly believe it has been a decade since he and Stefani first got together. Speaking with the outlet in May 2025, the 49-year-old reflected on how quickly time has passed.

"10 years is a long time. It still feels new for me," Shelton acknowledged. He admitted that early on, he was nervous about stepping into the role of stepfather to Stefani's three sons, Kingston, Zuma, and Apollo, but later noted that he sees it as his top priority, even above his music career.

Now, a decade later, he has fully embraced family life. Shelton said he is looking forward to a relaxed summer with the boys and Stefani.

"We both have a few shows here and there, but nothing that's tying us down to keep us from going and doing something fun. We don't have any plans — which is our favorite plan," he shared.

Why The Mother-Of-Three Wants Her Husband To Cut Ties With Adam Levine

Stefani and Shelton's love story may look like it is straight from a fairytale, buttheir marriage has not been without its tense moments.

The Blast recalls a 2022 situation when Stefani allegedly asked her husband to distance himself from the Maroon 5 lead. This came after Levine faced public cheating allegations, which reportedly hit close to home for Stefani.

The songwriter, who is friends with Levine's wife, Behati Prinsloo, was said to be acting out of loyalty rather than jealousy. Having gone through infidelity in her own past marriage, Stefani was reportedly focused on the principle of the matter, not worried about Levine influencing Shelton's behavior.

As it turns out, she may not have had much reason for concern. While Levine and Shelton's on-screen banter on "The Voice" gave the impression of a tight bromance, insiders suggest their friendship off-camera is far less intense than it appears.

If Keith Urban's advice keeps working, Blake Shelton and Gwen Stefani might just be in for their strongest chapter yet.
