Addison Rae rose to fame on TikTok during her freshman year of college at LSU. Within two years she has grown to become to the second most followed ‘TikToker’ right behind Charli D’Amelio.

Addison currently has 38.2 million followers on Instagram and 81 million followers on TikTok.

So, why with all of her social media success is she close to throwing in the towel on her social stardom?

Well for starters, the ‘Obsessed’ singer has had her fair share of online trolls come after her, and her relationship followed by a breakup with Bryce Hall was highly publicized on social media, namely Twitter.

On a recent episode of the “That Was Fun” podcast with guest, Benny Blanco, Addison revealed why she is close to quitting social media.

She explained that sticking around on social media isn’t always easy.

“It’s really hard, I don’t know, it’s a struggle. But I just, I cry, and then I remember the good things about it,” she explained.

Yeah, the good things like the career it built you… or the reported two-million-dollar net worth.

I’d say it’s worth sticking around.

She admitted that sometimes she feels like she wants to quit everything!

She continued to explain her reason for wanting to quit socials to Blanco saying, “Cause then I think about it, and sometimes I’m like ‘ugh, I want to quit everything!’ Like I really do think that. And I’m like, ‘I just wanna stop. I just wanna delete all my social medias and stop.'”

However, Addison had a change of heart when thinking about her other passions like music and acting.

This year Addison dropped her debut single “Obsessed” and starred in her first feature film, a remake of “She’s All That” called “He’s All That.”

Obviously, Addison realizes she can quit social media and still pursue music and acting, but social media is a part of it all. It’s part of her inspiration.

When talking about quitting she said, “I could! Easily, it’s literally a click away, but then I think about, honestly, this is what I was thinking about. I was thinking about the movie, and then I was thinking about music, and writing, and I was like, why would I give that up, cause I love that so much.”

The major concern with Addison quitting is that it would mean fans would get 50% less content of her and Kourtney Kardashian… boooo!
