Kathy Griffin Defends Her Vanity Amid Third Facelift Confirmation

Kathy Griffin is not ashamed to admit her guilty pleasures! 

The media personality enjoys getting a few nips and tucks here and there, and she is having the time of her life doing it, paying the critics no mind.

Kathy Griffin's admission comes after her natural appearance caused serious controversy among online spectators, likening her to various scary television characters.

The comedian affirmed that she is on her third facelift after overwhelming observations that her face appeared very "taut. She noted during a podcast interview that she has long embraced her vain nature and cares about her looks even though she believes there is no point to it.

Griffin further poked fun at herself, stating that her audience, who attend her shows, do not come for her looks; instead, her talent and appeal come from her comedy, which is just how she enjoys it.

The media personality added that she also fixed her chin and eyelids while giving shoutouts to her surgeon, Dr. Ben Talei, for giving her the perfect facelift.

Griffin stated that Sia, who also got Talei's touch on her face, had the best before-and-after picture she had ever seen, prompting her to consult the medical practitioner.

Per Page Six, she also gave insights into her somewhat complex recovery process. In her words: "I'm gonna be honest, it's painful. So these b-tches that are like, 'It's like getting a tooth filled! It's nothing!' No, it's painful."

Griffin addressed the unending news about her no makeup look and fascinating hair when she was pictured exercising near her home in Malibu. The actress did not take offense at the camera flashes, because it is a simple proof that she is alive and well.

Griffin explained that whenever she is getting those steps and fitness in, it is almost impossible for her to have any makeup on, and coincidentally, she is at the age where people get photographed without makeup on a lot.

She addressed her relationship with plastic surgery, which began as early as 26 when she got her nose job. The decision came after several people commented on the size and shape of her nose, claiming she would get more jobs if she fixed it. 

Griffin also battled body image issues, revealing that complications from a liposuction procedure nearly took her life. She decided to go under the knife for that because she was never thin enough for a television personality.

She continued that most designers also did not necessarily make clothes for people less than a "size 4," setting off her insecurity.

The comedian and her hair have been through a lot of shapes, colors, sizes, and textures. Call it whatever you want, Griffin has done it all! The Blast shared that in August 2017, the media personality shaved off her hair in support of her sister Joyce, who was undergoing treatment for cancer.

She then switched to wearing wigs since the big chop, until 2021, when she broke her silence on people coming for her naturally curly hair. The star informed trolls that her natural hair has consistently grown out of her scalp red and curly, and urged people to accept her for who she is.

Her early July sighting had social media users comparing her look to some characters, including Pennywise and Gene Wilder in "Young Frankenstein." Some comments described her big hair as a mix of Ronald McDonald, Chucky, and Pennywise.

The Hollywood icon appeared relaxed for her exercise in a casual fit featuring a shirt from her 2018 world tour and a pair of black pants.

In May, The Blast reported that the actress lent her voice to the LGBTQ+ community's advocacy efforts for Pride Month. She encouraged the community to pay attention to the political environment around them and seize every moment to fight for their freedom and rights.

It is no secret that the 64-year-old is a longtime friend of the gay and trans community, and the issue of safety and security of the people has kept her up at night.

She also expressed uncertainty concerning her freedom to walk freely on the streets of the United States as a citizen. Griffin urged the community to keep up the fight, as Trump will "stop at nothing to try to take down the LGBTQ+ community."

Griffin's advice came after new outlets reported that the president destroyed over $800 million worth of research grants going into helping the LGBTQ+ community.

The veteran took to social media to ask for help in identifying an individual who has been acting creepy around her during her morning walks. She attached a picture of the stalker, noting that he often approaches her with his camera to ask questions about Trump.

She added that the stalker also gives her false promises of getting Trump to watch the video he makes of her. The stalker also allegedly trails her in a pickup truck, forcing her to bring her canine on walks.

"I never know when he is going to show up. I have never seen him photographing anyone else," the star noted. Fans trooped to the comments advising the actress to increase her security and call the local authorities if the stalker approaches her again.
