Jimmy Kimmel won't be bending the knee anytime soon, as he might choose relocation instead of roughing it under Donald Trump's rule.
The late-night talk show host recently revealed he had other options in case life got too challenging under the president's reign. His possible exit from the U.S. places him in the list of celebrities who left the country over Trump's administration.
Jimmy Kimmel's comments about his possible relocation appear to be his response to Donald Trump's diss. The POTUS slammed the TV personality as talentless in a recent interview, claiming he would lose his beloved program.
Jimmy Kimmel Says He Has Italian Citizenship Amid Donald Trump's Issues

Kimmel hinted he would leave the U.S. if Trump's administration worsened, saying, "I did get Italian citizenship, I do have that. What's going on is as bad as you thought it was gonna be. It's so much worse, it's just unbelievable."
"I feel like it's probably even worse than he would like it to be," he claimed. Kimmel noted he supported former Trump lovers who allegedly regretted voting for the president. He stressed that he did not believe in the "f-ck you, you supported him" mentality, adding:
"If you wanna change your mind, that's so hard to do. If you want to admit you were wrong, that's hard and so rare to do, you are welcome."
Elsewhere in the interview, the TV personality expressed disappointment at lefties who ruined the party's stance with their woke cancel culture. "It's not the majority. It's the loud voices that scare people from saying what they believe and make you think twice about a joke," Kimmel explained per Radar Online.
The POTUS Claimed The Talk Show Host's Days Were Over

Kimmel's comments about his possible exit from the US follow Trump's claims about the end of his beloved late-night talk show. During an interview in the Oval Office, the president was asked about his thoughts on Howard Stern's speculated parting with SiriusXM.
Trump implied that Stern, one of his most famous critics, like Kimmel and Jimmy Fallon, had paid the price for his controversial comments. He claimed the other talk show hosts would face similar fates, saying:
"Fallon has no talent. Kimmel has no talent. They're next. They're going to be going, I hear they're going to be going."
Celebrities Who Left The U.S. Following The Politician's Re-election

If Kimmel chooses to leave the U.S. to avoid Trump's administration, he won't be the first celebrity to do so. Last year, Ellen DeGeneres and her wife, Portia de Rossi, made waves for relocating to the Cotswolds region following the president's re-election.
Months after DeGeneres and her wife permanently exited the U.S., Rosie O'Donnell revealed she and her 12-year-old child, Clay, had relocated to Ireland in March 2025. She broke the news in a social media post, per PEOPLE, confirming she left to avoid Trump.
"It's been heartbreaking to see what's happening politically and hard for me personally as well," O'Donnell said. Trump reacted to her exit months later in July, threatening to revoke her American citizenship and labeling her a "threat to humanity."
