The beloved actor tragically drowned on July 20 during a family trip to Costa Rica. Authorities ruled his cause of death as asphyxiation by submersion after Warner was caught in a rip current while swimming with his eight-year-old daughter along the country’s Caribbean coast.

Your outpouring of love and kindness has been immeasurable, and deeply appreciated,” she wrote, before describing Malcolm as “a kind, loving man with a huge heart for humanity” and revealed his most recent mission in life was helping others realize their “inner strength” so they could “succeed, accomplish, and transform.”
Warner’s creative passions extended beyond acting. He was a poet and musician who formed the band Miles Long, releasing four albums, earning two Grammy nominations, and winning one. Pamela said her son “left an indelible mark on the world and on countless hearts,” adding that “all who met him, however briefly, were better for the encounter.”
