When Maureen Maguire, the longtime partner of Travis Kelce's father, Ed Kelce, was laid to rest on Thursday, several members of the Kelce family were in attendance.

Ed, Jason Kelce, and Jason's wife, Kylie, were all photographed at the service, but Travis and his girlfriend, Taylor Swift, were noticeably missing from the crowd.

However, fans don't need to panic because Travis Kelce and his pop star girlfriend didn't miss out due to family tension. Instead, it came down to scheduling.

Travis was tied up at Kansas City Chiefs training camp in Missouri, where he was spotted on the field that same day. With the NFL season set to kick off in September, the 35-year-old tight end remained focused on team preparations.

Maguire, who died at age 74, was celebrated in her obituary for her love of the beach, her devotion to dogs, and the surprising passion for football she developed later in life.

She and Ed shared "many laughs and adventures," traveling together, attending games and concerts, and enjoying life alongside her loyal dog, Butch.

Long before Ed Kelce's romance with Maureen Maguire, he was married to the most famous NFL mom in the game, Donna Kelce.

The proud mama of Travis and Jason has become a celebrity herself, known for her game-day fits, her unwavering support, and her ability to cheer for both of her sons when they're on opposite sidelines.

Donna and Ed's love story is the stuff of meet-cute legend. As they revealed on "New Heights with Jason and Travis Kelce," the two met back in the late '70s when Donna was actually on her way to a date with someone else.

On the way, she stopped for a quick drink at Fagan's in Cleveland's Old Flats, and there was Ed, unwinding after work. They struck up a conversation, and Donna never made it to meet the other guy.

It didn't take long for sparks to turn into wedding vows.

The couple tied the knot, welcomed Jason about five years later, and then added Travis to the team less than two years after that. They raised their boys in Cleveland Heights, Ohio, and sent both to the University of Cincinnati, where they became college football standouts.

After roughly 25 years of marriage, Donna and Ed went their separate ways following their sons' college graduations. While the split was a difficult chapter for the family, there's no bad blood. The proud parents have even been spotted side-by-side in the stands, cheering on their NFL superstar sons.

The Kansas City Chiefs may still be the team to beat in the AFC, but last season's crushing Super Bowl loss to the Philadelphia Eagles is officially in the rearview mirror for Travis Kelce. While some teammates are still dwelling on the lopsided defeat, the 35-year-old tight end has made it clear that he's done talking about it.

"I've thrown that thing in the trash," Kelce told reporters. "I've moved on. It happened sooner than you can imagine. I was pretty focused on this year in the offseason."

Kelce's focus is now fully on the 2025 season, though his comments also raised eyebrows about his future in the NFL. He admitted he's unsure if he'll return after this year, and from a contractual standpoint, there's even a possibility he could be on another team in 2026.
