Machine Gun Kelly is opening up about life as a dad again, but this time, it’s not all lullabies and baby bliss.
During a candid interview, the rapper revealed that his ex, Megan Fox, wasn’t thrilled when fans praised him for simply holding their daughter.
From hilarious dad plans with Pete Davidson to baby name battles, MGK is keeping fatherhood real.
MGK Says Megan Fox Is Doing The Heavy Lifting

Appearing on "Today with Jenna and Friends," MGK reflected on fatherhood with his four-month-old daughter, Saga, whom he shares with ex Fox.
Though many have commended him for being hands-on, the “Lost Americana” artist gave credit where it is due.
“It’s awesome,” MGK said per PEOPLE of life with a newborn. “I want to detract all of the congrats to me and just move it to Megan because she really does all the work. I keep getting called ‘The Music Teacher.’”
He continued, “Someone the other day was like, ‘You’re such a good dad!’ Just because I was holding the baby. And she was fuming, like, ‘No, no, no, no.’ She’s the one. I just play the guitar and pray that the baby is happy.”
MGK and Fox, who were engaged in January 2022, broke up in late November, shortly after announcing their pregnancy.
MGK shared the birth of their daughter on Instagram on March 27, writing, “She’s finally here!! our little celestial seed,” alongside a black-and-white video of him gently holding the baby’s hand.
He’s also dad to 16-year-old Casie, his daughter with ex Emma Cannon.
MGK’s Parenting Plans With Pete Davidson Are Hilarious

The rapper isn’t just enjoying dad life but also imagining future playdates, especially with pal Pete Davidson.
On "The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon," MGK joked about their dream of being stroller-pushing dads if only their kids' moms would approve.
“I feel like me and him always talk about, like, 'Won't it be great to just be walking our babies down in strollers?' And I'm like, 'You know, I don't think Megan and Elsie are ever gonna let us,’” he told Fallon.
“I think that they would be in their heads thinking that we would be looking at the baby and go, 'Okay. What do we do?’” MGK added, laughing. “The diapers end up on our heads or something.”
MGK Picked Baby Names But Not Without A Fight

During the “8 Before 8” segment on Today, MGK shared that he only got to name one of his two daughters.
“Well, I lost the first one and won the second one,” he said.
The 35-year-old rapper added, “When you are 18 years old and you go to her mother and you go, 'What if we named our kid, Kid?' it’s like, I get why she's like, 'Hey man, shut up.’”
MGK may not always win the naming battles, but he’s clearly embracing every chaotic, touching, and hilarious part of being a dad.
Megan Fox Says Pregnancy With Machine Gun Kelly Was Unplanned But Joyful

Two months after Saga's birth, Fox revealed that her pregnancy was not planned.
The actress shared a throwback video on Instagram, filmed when she was six weeks pregnant, writing, “Unplanned but a happy surprise.”
Fox and MGK welcomed their daughter despite ending their relationship after Thanksgiving last year due to “upsetting materials” she found on his phone.
In the post, Fox encouraged women to reject societal pressures, stating, “Don’t listen to the patriarchy. We have no expiration date.”
She also promoted her new show, "Overcompensating." Despite their split, sources say the former lovebirds are “in a good place” following their daughter’s birth.
Machine Gun Kelly And Megan Fox Arrive In Costa Rica Amid Tragic Loss

Late last month, MGK and Fox touched down in Costa Rica with their infant daughter just days after the tragic death of actor Malcolm-Jamal Warner.
The former couple appeared amicable as they arrived at the airport, casually dressed with Fox holding their baby. Despite travelling together, they remain co-parents.
Their family getaway coincided with Warner’s untimely passing after a drowning incident at Playa Cocles, a beach known for powerful rip currents.
According to The Conversation, Warner was swimming when an intense current swept him offshore.
The beach, located in Limón Province, often experiences rip currents exceeding two meters per second during storms, which are strong enough to pull inexperienced swimmers far from shore.
Warner’s death shocked Hollywood, with many fans mourning the sudden loss of the beloved "Cosby Show" star, who was admired for his talent and charisma.
