Lizzo has taken aim at Sydney Sweeney in a bold new track featuring lyrics that appear to parody the actress's controversial American Eagle ad campaign.
The actress has spent weeks at the center of backlash over the campaign, with critics accusing it of carrying racial undertones and promoting white supremacy.
Sydney Sweeney has, however, remained silent about the controversy, although reports have claimed that she thinks it has been blown out of proportion.

Lizzo took to Instagram to preview a bold new track titled "I'm Goin' In Till October," featuring lyrics that appear to mock Sydney Sweeney and her much-criticized American Eagle ad campaign.
In one line, Lizzo raps, "B-tch, I got good jeans like I'm Sydney!" — a clear play on the campaign poster that originally read, "Sydney Sweeney has great genes," with "genes" crossed out and replaced by "jeans."
To seemingly drive the point home, Lizzo also recreated Sweeney's denim look in the video snippet, but with a more provocative twist.
Her outfit included barely-there Daisy Dukes that exposed her bum and thighs, along with a cropped, oversized denim jacket with raw, frayed edges.
She also wore a white vest, tied in a knot just above her midriff to show off her stomach.
Meanwhile, throughout much of the clip, the singer could be seen twerking and lip-syncing along to her new track.
Lizzo Previously Took A Swipe At Sydney Sweeney Over The Ad Campaign

The song snippet dropped just days after Lizzo first took a jab at Sweeney by mocking the American Eagle ad in a viral meme.
Posting to Instagram, the singer shared an edited image of herself dressed in a denim outfit nearly identical to the one worn by Sweeney in the controversial campaign.
The meme was captioned, "If the Democrats won the election," seemingly poking fun at the outrage from liberal critics who had also slammed Sweeney's ad.
Lizzo doubled down in the caption, writing, "Mine are Black jeans," a pointed clapback that appeared to reference her identity as a Black woman and outspoken body-positivity advocate.
Fans Have Mixed Reactions To Lizzo's Jabs At Sydney Sweeney's Ad

In the comment section of Lizzo's post, some netizens echoed her sentiments with similar remarks about Black "genes."
"My jeans are Black. My genes built this country. My jeans are made from the same cotton this country was built on," one person wrote.
Some users, however, slammed Lizzo over the meme, describing it as "tasteless" and "embarrassing."
"Lizzo, this is embarrassing. Sydney being the face of the ad doesn't take away from other ethnicities or beauty. Get real," a user remarked while another mentioned, "This is tasteless !!!!"
"The ad is literally talking about JEANS….her jeans are blue because ummmm she's wearing blue freaking jeans. My goodness. Taking this way too far," one more individual remarked.
The Actress Thinks The American Eagle Ad Controversy Has Been Blown Out Of Proportion

In the meantime, Sweeney has refused to address the controversy from the ad campaign on any of her social media pages or in a statement to the press.
However, an insider shared with US Weekly that the actress thinks the entire issue "has been blown out of proportion."
The insider also claimed that Sweeney has her mind fully on her work, but didn't reveal if the actress has plans to speak up soon.
"She's focusing her energy on work, including being back on set with her Euphoria family," the source added.
Sweeney is set to reprise her role as high schooler Cassie Howard in season three of HBO's "Euphoria," with filming beginning earlier in the year after multiple delays.
American Eagle Has Spoken Up Amid Backlash About The Ad Campaign

Unlike Sweeney, American Eagle has responded to the backlash surrounding the ad campaign.
In a statement shared on their official Instagram page, the brand praised the actress and reaffirmed their full support for both her and the campaign.
"'Sydney Sweeney Has Great Jeans' is and always was about the jeans. Her Jeans. Her Story. We'll continue to celebrate how everyone wears their AE jeans with confidence, their way," they wrote in a statement amid backlash over the ad.
Interestingly, despite the controversy, American Eagle has seen its stock surge in recent days, per USA Today.
As of August 4, the retailer's shares had jumped over 23%, a boost many believe was fueled by President Donald Trump's public defense of the ad and his praise for Sweeney.
Trump had told reporters that he liked the ad and later took to his Truth social to call it "the 'HOTTEST' ad out there."
