Dean Cain is “stepping up” to save the day by joining the U.S. Immigration & Customs Enforcement Agency amid mass workforce recruitment.
Fans of the former “Superman” actor have slammed him for deciding to join the immigration agency. His decision has been labelled as a “supervillain” move since he once played the character of a symbol of justice in the popular superhero TV series, “Lois & Clark.”
Cain recently acknowledged that while America is “immigrant-friendly,” there needs to be rules and limitations on immigration to avoid societal failure.
Dean Cain Will Be Sworn In As An ICE Agent ‘ASAP’

Cain joined Jesse Watters on Fox News to discuss his decision to join the fight against illegal immigration. He said that he made the move to join ICE after sharing one of their recruitment videos on Instagram, and it went viral.
The “Lois & Clark” actor revealed that he is a sworn deputy sheriff and a reserve police officer, and so has some experience with law enforcement.
“I wasn’t a part of ICE, but once I put that out there and you put it on your show, it went crazy. So now I’ve spoken with some officials over at ICE, and I will be sworn in as an ICE agent ASAP,” he told Watters.
Cain shared that his decision to join the agency was inspired by the realization that the country needs more people who are willing to do the right thing. In his words:
“This country was built on patriots stepping up and doing the right thing. We have a broken immigration system. Congress needs to fix it, but in the meantime, President Trump ran on this. He is delivering on this. This is what the people voted for. It’s what I voted for and he’s going to see it through, and I’ll do my part and help make sure it happens.”
The 59-year-old actor further called for other patriotic citizens to join the fight, just like he did. “I’m stepping up. Hopefully, a whole bunch of other former officers, former ICE agents, will step up and we’ll meet those recruitment goals immediately, and we’ll help protect this country,” he declared.
ICE opened spots for up to 10,000 new agents to be recruited into its workforce. As it stands, there are now 80,000 applicants who have registered their interest in the position.
Cain then stated that the agency will now have “800,001 recruits for their 10,000 positions” plus himself. He added that he will “do whatever” he is required to do when he takes on his new role.
Cain Believes ‘Society Will Fail’ Without Limits On Immigration

Cain recently spoke about the latest “Superman” film released in 2025. He called the film “woke” after James Gunn, the movie director, described the superhero as an immigrant.
The “Ripley’s Believe It Or Not” host agreed to the character’s immigrant status and tagged America as an “immigrant-friendly” country. However, he clearly stated that there should be limitations on immigration policies.
“But there are rules … There have to be limits, because we can’t have everybody in the United States. We can’t have everybody, society will fail. So there have to be limits,” he said via The Guardian.

Although Cain believes he is doing the right thing by joining ICE, his fans beg to differ. Several users on X have called him out for going against the very thing his character portrays.
One user wrote, “What most people don’t know? In the 1940s, Superman comics literally featured him fighting corrupt politicians and standing up for immigrants. Wild how the symbol flips with time.....”
Another user added, “Imagine playing a character that’s supposed to bring justice to and unite communities just to say something stupid like this.” And another chimed in, “Nobody even knows who that is & Henry Cavill was the superior Superman anyways.”
“Isn’t Superman an illegal alien?” one fan asked, while another added, “Turned into a literal supervillain.”
The White House Faced Heavy Criticism For Donald Trump’s ‘Superman’ Meme

Just last month, the White House came under fire for sharing a meme that depicted Donald Trump as “Superman.”
The digitally altered image showed the president dressed in the popular red-and-blue superhero suit with the tagline, “A Trump Presidency… Truth, Justice, and the American Way.”
As reported by The Blast, one user condemned the image, writing, “The only superpower Trump has is committing felonies at the speed of light.”
Actor Patrick Dougall, famous for “Young Sheldon,” also joined the condemnation, calling for legal action. “Warner Bros, PLEASE sue,” he wrote.
A Look At Dean Cain's Sexual Harassment Lawsuit

Cain’s vow to join ICE comes shortly after he alleged that he was sexually harassed when he played the “Man of Steel” character in the TV series, “Lois & Clark: The New Adventures of Superman.”
According to The Blast, Cain said that he “could have had the biggest sexual harassment lawsuit in Hollywood history.” However, he never opened up about the encounter until recently.
He further claimed that the incident affected him negatively and even caused a strain between him and Gabrielle Reece, who was his romantic interest at the time.
