Sydney Sweeney has found support from some netizens amid ongoing criticism of her American Eagle jeans campaign.
The actress was trolled by a "woke" writer using the slang "butterface," but the comment sparked outrage from numerous social media users.
Sydney Sweeney has continued to remain silent, despite also being recently heckled over the ad campaign during her recent appearance at the premiere of her latest movie.
Netizens Rip Into Woke Writer Who Called The Actress A 'Butterface'

The criticism might still be pouring in against Sydney Sweeney over her American Eagle ad campaign, but the actress has found some support after being slammed by a writer.
Sweeney was called a "butterface who looks great in jeans" by Rachel Bitecofer, who claims to be a national political analyst.
The comment quickly sparked outrage among several netizens, seemingly due to the offensive meaning of "butterface," which refers to a woman with an attractive body but an unattractive face.
Several users labeled the writer as "jealous," while referencing her own looks as being far less appealing than Sweeney's.

"Remarkable how the honorable defenders of women instantly attack other women's appearances. It's like they forget they have to keep up their act," another individual remarked.
"Women who choose to put other women down on the internet, just because they look better than them, or don't share their political beliefs, are the lowest of the low," someone else noted.
One more person defended Sweeney, saying, "Even if you don't like her, Sydney is, objectively, attractive."
The individual added, "Symmetrical features, good skin, she checks almost every objective measurement box."
The Actress Was Heckled While Attending 'Americana' Premiere

The comment from Bitecofer comes days after Sweeney was heckled by a random critic of her American Eagle ad while she was attending the premiere of her latest movie, "Americana."
The incident occurred on Sunday night at Desert 5 Spot in Hollywood, which was packed with individuals who had come to support the thriller project.
As Sweeney made her way into the location with her escorts, the unidentified individual shouted at her, "Stop the ad, that is being racist," per TMZ.
Instead of reacting to the heckler, Sweeney remained unfazed by the outburst. She kept her composure and continued walking into the venue to join the rest of the cast for the film's premiere.
Later that evening, she posed for photos with her castmates, stealing the spotlight in a pale yellow, sleeveless gown.

Since the launch of the campaign, Sweeney has yet to address the controversy in any form.
However, American Eagle recently broke their silence by taking to Instagram last Friday to praise the actress and double down on support for the campaign.
"'Sydney Sweeney Has Great Jeans' is and always was about the jeans. Her Jeans. Her Story," the company wrote in a statement.
It continued, "We'll continue to celebrate how everyone wears their AE jeans with confidence, their way."
President Donald Trump Gave The Ad His Blessings

Since the jeans ad went viral, a number of high-profile individuals have also weighed in on the controversy, including President Donald Trump.
Trump told reporters on August 3 that he loves the ad and thinks it is fantastic, especially after being told that Sweeney has been registered as a Republican since 2024, before the presidential elections.
The billionaire politician later called the ad "the 'HOTTEST' ad out there" and said that the jeans are "flying off the shelves" in a post on Truth Social.
Sydney Sweeney's DM Has Been Swarmed With Messages From Premier League Stars

Sweeney's love life has also received much attention after previously splitting from Jonathan Davino earlier in the year.
According to reports, the actress is being pursued by a number of "famous men" who have sent her messages on social media.
"It's mostly guys playing for teams like Manchester United, Liverpool, and Arsenal," a source told The Sun. "They offer her trips to Europe to see them and take her on a date, but she's not the kind of person who does that.
The insider also noted that Sweeney has turned down all these proposals, and she is quick to block those who cross the line.
"Some of them are very insistent and have even tried to find her address to send her flowers, but she always refuses," the source added.
