Jeff Ross has seemingly responded to Tom Brady's earlier remarks about regretting his participation in the Netflix roast.

The NFL star was the brunt of many jokes in his 2024 "The Roast of Tom Brady," which Ross participated in and also executive-produced.

Ross claimed that Tom Brady must have lost his sense of humor after splitting from ex-wife Gisele Bündchen, whose name came up many times during the roast.

Famous roast master Jeff Ross has looked back on Tom Brady's iconic Netflix roast, which aired in 2024.

Ross was one of several stars who took part in the special and even cracked a joke referencing Patriots owner Robert Kraft's 2019 solicitation charges. At the time,  the moment sparked tension when Brady stood up and warned Ross, saying, "Don't say that shit again."

Now, Ross has shared that he admired how Brady handled all the jabs thrown at him that night, many of which referenced his split from ex-wife Gisele Bündchen.

However, he also admitted to having "mixed feelings" about Brady expressing regret over participating in the infamous roast.

"I didn't realize you could lose half your sense of humor in a divorce," Ross recently shared with Page Six.

"I want everyone to love the roast," he added. "To leave there feeling like it was the greatest night of their life."

In addition to participating in the roast, Ross also served as an executive producer alongside Tom Brady, Kevin Hart, and Casey Patterson.

In an interview with Variety last year, he described the special as a major step forward in helping the world heal from the effects of political correctness and wokeness.

"I live in Roast world," Ross told the outlet at the time. "But I think the rest of the world is getting back in touch with their sense of humor and leaving politics out of it, which was a mission of mine, to make it as inclusive and fun so people could let loose. I think that helped. It was a break for the fans."

Ross also explained that what makes roast comedy truly effective is the way the jokes are drawn from things the target finds embarrassing, but that are already known to the audience.

"You're teasing them. You're building them up to take them down," he added. "You're hitting them about something they're proud of, not something they're embarrassed by.

Speaking further about the roast, Ross shared at the time that Brady "wasn't sure what was going to come at him."

And although the former NFL star was "open to it," he seemingly took offense when Ross targeted Kraft with one of the jokes.

Reflecting on that moment, Ross said he "didn't even clock" what was happening at the time.

Also, while many viewed the joke as crossing the line, he believes both Brady and Kraft were ultimately fine with it.

Speaking more on the roast, Ross noted that he and Brady still have a good relationship, and that the former athlete was a "great sport."

"Tom's my friend, my partner. I wasn't feeling like he was coming at me. I feel like he was being fun, and I was in the zone. I didn't even remember that happened until later on when people asked me about it," he shared.

He added, "I think he was just p-ssed at me that I stole his O.J. bit entrance, so I apologized for that. But Tom was a great sport, and so was Robert Kraft. Robert Kraft is used to being up in his private box. Here, he was down on the field getting muddy with everybody else. I've gotta give him a lot of credit for that."

Days after the roast, Brady also reflected on both the good and bad sides of allowing himself to be torn apart by fellow celebrities.

"I loved when the jokes were about me," Brady said on "The Pivot" podcast, per ABC. "I thought they were so fun. I didn't like the way it affected my kids."

At the time, he also vowed never to allow himself to be the subject of such a roast again, regardless of what the gains may be.

He added, "So it's the hardest part; the bittersweet aspect of when you do something that you think is one way and all of a sudden, you realize 'I wouldn't do that again' because of the way it affected, actually, the people I care about the most in the world."
