Will Meghan Markle and Prince Harry's marriage pay the price for his 'peace talks' with the royal family?
The Duchess of Sussex is reportedly uneasy about the possibility of her husband making peace with his family at the detriment of their future as a couple.
Meghan Markle's husband and his estranged father, King Charles, have allegedly put several plans in place to aid their reconciliation after five years of little to no contact and a recent cancer diagnosis.
Meghan Markle Allegedly Believes A Princess Diana-Like Intervention Awaits Her Marriage

The mother-of-two reportedly remains firm in her notion that her future as Mrs Sussex now dangles at the mercy of King Charles' discretion as steps to reconcile him and Harry intensify. She is concerned that the king might tell Harry to divorce her as the final phase of appeasement to bring them together.
An insider affirmed that she believes she might suffer the same fate as Diana when she was married to King Charles. The late queen reportedly masterminded the divorce between Charles and Diana with counsel from the Archbishop of Canterbury and Prime Minister John Major.
Although Meghan cosigns the reconciliation between Harry and the royal family, the pace at which things are going is what she finds unsettling and almost unbelievable.
According to Radaronline, the prince has reportedly stopped carrying most things for her like he used to, and it has gotten pretty alarming for the mother-of-two. As noted by an insider:
"She's clinging to the hope that this doesn't backfire and end with them manipulating him to turn on her."
Meghan Reportedly Urged Prince Harry To Look Out For Her In Future Discussions

Meghan's sleepless nights intensified after the secret meeting between Charles and Harry's aides on July 12 in London. Since then, the entrepreneur has expressed her concerns to Harry, noting that she must not be left out of major decisions, encouraging him to respect their partnership.
While it may seem as if Harry is taking matters into his own hands towards reconciliation, a source stressed that it came from a good place. According to them:
"Harry's stepped up to handle the talks himself, partly because he knows Meghan, despite his love for her, can be perceived as confrontational."
The insider added that the whole situation is alien to her, and she can not shake the paranoid feeling of a looming danger. Most importantly, the pattern is very similar to how Diana's situation unfolded.
"With old wounds still fresh, Meghan's anxiety centers on whether history might repeat itself – and whether her partnership may once again be deemed expendable in service of royal repair," the source concluded.
The Duke Is An Open Book Amid The Peace Talks

The father-of-two is equally anticipating a peaceful resolution and has offered to disclose his official diary of engagement with the royal family to enable a smooth interaction, as reported by The Blast.
Sources explained that the Duke of Sussex's symbolic move is to show the palace that he is an ally, and not a foe, nor is he trying to drag the institution down.
The meeting in London between their aides changed everything for the dynamics of his relationship with the royal family, with all roads leading to de-escalating the flames of conflict.
Harry's new offer comes after his nostalgic trip to the Angolan landmines overshadowed Queen Camilla's 78th birthday. While this was not an intentional decision, Harry's trip to Angola paid homage to his late mother, who walked in the same landmine field decades ago.
Meghan Markle's Business Ventures Marked Safe Amid 'Peace Talks'

While her marriage may reportedly be in line of danger, the same can not be said for her brands and businesses, which she began building after exiting the Buckingham Palace alongside Harry in 2020.
The Blast noted that when the duo quit their positions as working royals about five years ago, they swung into action to make a living for themselves overseas.
The couple signed a whopping $100 million deal with Netflix for a couple of productions, published a critically acclaimed book, granted a highly controversial interview with Oprah Winfrey, and launched a lifestyle brand.
All these achievements have been marked safe by the royal family, according to a source, as long as she protects the dignity of her ties with the royal family in the process, she is in the clear.
The 43-year-old and the king also share a cordial history as lovers and jam makers, and friends who bonded over music, arts, and topics. The king even walked her down the aisle of St George's Chapel at Windsor Castle when she tied the knot with Prince Harry in 2018.
King Charles Fears For The Future Of His Privacy With His Youngest Son

Despite the euphoria of their possible reconciliation, there is a big elephant in the room that the reigning monarch is unwilling to ignore.
An insider and royal expert, Charlotte Griffiths shared that the father-of-two violated a serious protocol in the royal family when he granted various in-depth interviews concerning the palace.
Whether in his memoir, the Oprah interview, or their Netflix series, the younger royal committed the unforgivable sin of spilling royal secrets, a scenario the king is worried about repeating.
Now, the king would want Harry to keep all their conversations under wraps and not leak them to the press as his first resort during a conflict, should they come back to a good place.
Harry may likely agree to this set of rules as all he wants is to be able to speak freely with his father without the stress of going through a gazillion aides.
