Reba McEntire Reportedly Sparks Trouble In Paradise With Rex Linn Amid Co-starring

Reba McEntire and her beau, Rex Linn, seem to be struggling as working partners, according to insiders.

The actress and her partner are reportedly clashing over several imbalances in their romance brought to the fore by their ongoing professional relationship.

Reba McEntire and Rexx Linn began their relationship in 2020, nearly three decades after meeting in 1991.

What should have been a bonding time for the singer and her boyfriend of five years has now caused a strain in their relationship, with reports that things have gone awry. 

The couple is now on the set of filming a new season for the “Happy’s Place” sitcom, and McEntire’s attitude on set is making it less enjoyable for Linn.

Sources close to the situation noted that the actress is practically “bossing him around and barking orders” because of their proximity on set. The insider added that McEntire’s conduct has spilled into their personal life, and Linn does not like that situation.

McEntire herself admitted that they do not see eye to eye on many issues, but they enjoy their time on set and get along just great. 

“That red hair is no lie – Reba is high-spirited. And Rex is a headstrong character, even though he doesn't look it. He's very proud and doesn't like her bossing him around in public,” the insider explained, per RadarOnline.

Rumors of a possible relationship between McEntire and Linn began shortly before the pandemic in January 2020; he shared a picture of himself grabbing dinner with the actress. 

As reported by PEOPLE, the actress finally lifted the veil on their romantic status during a podcast session in October 2020, describing him with all the sweet words. She raved about their shared interest in many topics, including their values and family life.

“Discussions about our past, our family, funny stories, him being an actor, me being an actress. And he's very into my music. I'm very into his career,” she added. McEntire reiterated that things were pretty great between them then, and the future looked promising.

By November 2020, McEntire and Linn made their red carpet debut and continued sharing adorable pictures of themselves on social media.

Last May, McEntire teased the fans about a TV show starring herself and the love of her life. The NBC sitcom “Happy’s Place” focused on McEntire’s character Bobbie, who manoeuvred her way through the operations of her father’s restaurant, which she inherited.

The character was soon shocked to discover that she is partnered with a half-sister she had never known to run the company. McEntire was thrilled to do the production alongside her beau, declaring it “a dream come true.”

Describing how thrilling the experience has been, McEntire revealed that she would sometimes sneak in for “a quick kiss, just a peck on the cheek, and keep it moving.” The couple’s co-star, Melissa Peterman, also witnessed their interaction on set, sharing that they kept things adorable and professional.

Early last year, McEntire gave her thoughts on the third time being the charm with Linn regarding marriage. As seen on The Blast, she clarified that, having done it twice, she feels like she has survived a lot and is well-equipped to give it a shot with Linn. In her words:

“If that's something he feels totally strong about, that's fine with me. He's never been married before. So, if he wants to experience that, I'm OK with that.”

McEntire added that although she is very committed to the actor, she remains skeptical about the idea of a wedding ring and a certificate. Nevertheless, moving with the knowledge that Linn loves her very much has significantly boosted her confidence and self-esteem.

In the early stages of their relationship, the pandemic did not allow for any physical interaction between them until mid-year. Still, they were able to wade through the storm and create an inseparable bond digitally.

“We created an intimacy by texting and talking over the telephone that we wouldn't have gotten if we'd been together all of that time. We've been pretty much inseparable ever since June 16, 2020,” she declared.

The 70-year-old’s mother passed away shortly after her relationship with Linn began in 2020. Before that event, she had gone to her home for caregiving duties, where she accidentally ingested a 25mg gummy.

In a story by The Blast, the actress revealed that she had been instructed by one of her sisters to ensure their mother got a piece of the gummy to help with the cancer pain and make her sleep.

Impressed by the swift effect of the product, McEntire decided to indulge in the other half of the one piece she had given to her mother earlier.

The reaction that followed left the actress in disbelief. She recalled acting incoherent when she had to help her mother use the bathroom and get cold water from the kitchen.

“I swear there was weeds and flowers growing out of my head. So, the next day I ask everybody, ‘How many milligrams were in those things?’” McEntire added, noting that she discovered each gram contained about 50mg of THC, which meant she ingested half and gave her mother 25mg.

Meanwhile, McEntire had explained in the interview that she had only taken about 2mg of THC in the past.
