Jeffree Star Opens Up About Kanye West 'Romance'

It’s been six months since the world was shocked to hear that YouTuber and beauty mogul Jeffree Star was reportedly hooking up with a then married Kanye West.

Oh, how time flies.

At the time fans were skeptical of the romance as the roots of this rumor originated on TikTok which is nowhere near a reliable source. But when Star added more fuel to the fire, it started to become somewhat believable.

At the time this rumor was running rampant, Star took to Twitter and tweeted, “Ready for service,” which is in reference to Kanye’s Sunday Service.

It was back in January when all of this transpired between Star and Kanye, and the rapper’s marital issues were also taking center stage in the media.

Both Star and Kanye live in Hidden Hills, California, and both have property and homes in Wyoming.

So, when put two and two together you get a full-blown love affair between the two. Or so everyone thought.

In an exclusive interview with E! News, Star addressed the rumors again and explained his side of the story.

Star is adamant nothing romantic EVER happened between the two.

“I think the coincidence is crazy when you live in Hidden Hills, two miles away from him and then I've always loved Wyoming and I was obviously aware that they had been going there a lot," he told the outlet.

To his surprise, Star had no idea the rumor started on TikTok saying, "I think the rumors are funny, they're hilarious. I had no idea that a girl that was on TikTok made it up until recently, so that was a shocker."

When the TikTok originally took off, Star played into the rumors, but soon released his own vlog on his YouTube channel setting the record straight.

In the video published on January 7, 2021, he said to the camera, “So I woke up just trying to live my life and I’m like ‘huh? This is so weird.’ I have all these news people texting me asking me like ‘What do you have to say about this?’ What do I have to say about what? I’m single and I’m not sleeping with anybody. Like this is so weird.”

He continued, “Let me say this one time for any news outlet. I like very tall men, me and Kanye have never hung out and this whole thing is really funny.”

Fast forward to present day and Star continues to echoe the same sentiment when it comes to the height of men he’s interested in.

“I really did mean when, I say I really do like tall men. I think Kanye's music is amazing, but he's definitely not for me," Star confessed to E!

The makeup mogul is currently single and would like to keep it that way this summer.

He's still recovering from a horrifying car accident in Wyoming that left him with broken vertebrae in his spine and in a body brace.

"I'm honestly, after the accident, really focused on myself, but there'll be some big announcements that I have for the world. I had a lot of time to rest and really reflect and had some big life moments that I'm not ready to share yet, but soon,” the YouTuber revealed.

Right now, Star is focused on making a full recovery and growing his business empire!
