O.J. Simpson's attorney has responded to President Donald Trump's posting of a meme that depicts him, Vice President JD Vance, and Barack Obama in a parody of the infamous 1994 police chase.
The lawyer suggested that Trump may be using the viral meme involving Obama and Simpson as a calculated distraction tactic to draw attention away from the renewed attention surrounding late sex offender Jeffrey Epstein.
Donald Trump previously stated that he did not understand the continued interest from people about the Epstein files after the DOJ and FBI wrapped up investigations into the sex criminal's case.

Speaking with TMZ, Malcolm LaVergne weighed in on Trump's bizarre posting of a meme that reenacted the police chase involving O.J. Simpson.
In the now-viral meme, Trump and his Vice President can be seen in a car chasing former President Barack Obama, who is driving a white Bronco, similar to the one Simpson drove during the infamous 1994 pursuit.
LaVergne has now claimed that Trump shared the meme to divert attention from the Epstein case to, perhaps, his recent accusation that Obama rigged the 2016 presidential election.
He described the meme as "straight from DJT's Playbook" and mockingly praised the billionaire mogul as "a marketing genius who tends to introduce one distraction to cancel out another."
The attorney also hinted that Trump chose to use this means because Obama "rarely responds in public to defend himself."
Donald Trump Has Courted Controversy Over His Response to Epstein's Case

In recent weeks, Trump has courted controversy with his comments in response to the renewed interest in the Epstein case.
On July 15, he told reporters that he was perplexed by why some of his supporters were so interested in the alleged Epstein files, calling the case "pretty boring stuff," according to Forbes.
He also stated that "the credible information has been given," seemingly referencing the DOJ and FBI's conclusion that there was no so-called "Epstein list" or any other incriminating files implicating alleged accomplices.
"I think really only pretty bad people, including fake news, want to keep something like that going," Trump added at the time.
Trump Says He 'Never Had The Privilege' Of Going To Jeffrey Epstein's Island

Trump also recently attempted to deflect attention from rumors linking him to the so-called Epstein list by boldly claiming he never visited Epstein's private Caribbean island.
"I never had the privilege of going to his island, and I did turn it down," he told reporters on July 28, per the Daily Mail. "But a lot of people in Palm Beach were invited to his island. In one of my very good moments, I turned it down."
He went on to allege that the former president Bill Clinton was a frequent visitor, seemingly doubling down on his attempt to remove the spotlight from himself.
"Bill Clinton went there, supposedly, 28 times ... And many other people that are very big people. Nobody ever talks about them," he added.
The DOJ Has Sat Down With Epstein's Accomplice, Ghislaine Maxwell

Meanwhile, although the DOJ and FBI have officially concluded their investigation into the Epstein case, public backlash has pushed them to seek more information from the late sex offender's close associate, Ghislaine Maxwell.
According to Maxwell's lawyer, David Oscar Markus, she answered questions from the agency about "100 different people" connected to Epstein.
He claimed that she was "asked about every possible thing you could imagine—everything," and that Maxwell answered "every single question" she was asked during the interview.
"This was the first opportunity she's ever been given to answer questions about what happened," Markus said, per the New York Post.
He also assured individuals who have followed the Epstein case that "the truth will come out about what happened" with the late sex offender.
No Details Have Been Released About The Interview

Any new details about Epstein obtained from Maxwell remain unknown for now, although Deputy Attorney General Todd Blanche did promise in a tweet to make the information available at the "appropriate time."
"Today, I met with Ghislaine Maxwell, and I will continue my interview of her tomorrow," the high-ranking DOJ officer posted on July 25. "The Department of Justice will share additional information about what we learned at the appropriate time."
It is possible that, in exchange for her cooperation, Maxwell received partial immunity. However, such claims have yet to be confirmed by the agency, amid intense scrutiny and opposition from the Senate Judiciary Committee.
