The actress's other artistic projects, such as the live adaptation of "Snow White," did not receive as much acclaim as her exploits on the streets of London.

As noted by The Blast, Zegler's role in the movie was cited as a contributing factor to its failure to surpass $205 million at the box office, despite a production budget of approximately $270 million.

According to disgruntled viewers, the actress's alleged political leanings regarding Palestine may have contributed to the movie's poor reception on the market.

An influential figure in the industry criticized the actress for hijacking conversations about the film to promote her "immature desires," thereby putting the jobs of everyone working on the movie at risk.

Her co-star, Gal Gadot, who served in the Israeli Defense Force, also reportedly received death threats due to her campaign for peace in the region and pro-Palestine stance.

As soon as Zegler was announced to play "Snow White," she was faced with criticisms surrounding her casting. Some factions claimed the decision to cast her was a far cry from what the original character was designed to be.

The Blast noted that these critics branded it one of Hollywood’s woke agendas that strips things of their intended purpose. Zegler’s comments on the 1937 forerunner, which was an animated version, did little to salvage the backlash.

The 24-year-old described Prince Charming’s approach to true love as weird and outdated. According to her, her character in the movie has no plans to wait around for a prince to save her or daydream about true love.

The talented actress wore her political stances and personal beliefs like a badge, which she was reportedly unwilling to relinquish despite complaints from Disney executives.

A source shared that Disney chiefs have called her to tone down her strong opinions for the sake of the film’s reputation, but neither she nor her management was willing to comply with those instructions.

The network also came under fire for its sharp detour on its portrayal of the very iconic Seven Dwarfs. According to them, they felt it was more progressive to “avoid reinforcing certain stereotypes” from the original 1937 film, hence their decision to use CGI and depict the dwarfs as magical creatures.

Will Rachel Zegler return for the next performance, or will the understudy get another chance to shine?
