Gold medalist McKayla Maroney was showing off a sunny disposition when she revealed herself in a vibrant green top paired with skintight white pants and matching handbag. While wearing a dark pair of shades and twirling her hair, Maroney explained the inspiration behind the pic:

"How I feel after I put on my tinted sunscreen, lipstick, gold hoop earrings, and some sunglasses. Plus eyelash extensions, and a fresh new manicure 💅 and I blow dried my hair."

McKayla Maroney has been very open about her struggles with mental health over the years. She's sharing her own personal ways of overcoming the negative energy and hoping her fans can incorporate into their own lives.

"In the worst part of my binge eating, or acne struggles when I felt terrible about myself, I’d still do these things to help myself leave the house. It does make a difference.
Even in sweats these things will level up how you feel about yourself I swear," Maroney wrote.

She added, "We all have to find ways to feel ready to take on the world, and sometimes we have to go the extra mile for ourself to feel a little stronger."
