A Conor McGregor fan recently attempted to spin a wild tale about the unexpected fire at his popular Irish pub. However, social media users weren't having it!
The online drama went down on Elon Musk's X platform following reports of the incident at the former UFC athlete's place of business. The mixed martial artist's supporter dropped a conspiracy theory about the fire, sparking a heated debate about McGregor's dark past.
Conor McGregor's image took a beating in 2024 after an Irish High Court found him liable for assaulting and raping a woman in 2018. The ruling led to multiple brands severing ties with the media personality; however, his longtime fiancée stood by his side throughout the trial.
Conor McGregor's Supporter Claims Pub Fire Was Arson

A McGregor fan addressed the recent fire at the athlete's Irish pub on X, speculating that an arsonist caused it. "So some rat tried to burn the black Forge Inn. Jealousy is a terrible thing! Conor McGregor has built 100s of homes for Irish people, and given millions to charity," they claimed.
Unfortunately, their conspiracy theory did not generate the reaction they had expected, as many called their claims into question.
"It was an electrical fault in a fuse board at the front door. It's still open for business," an X user stressed. Another echoed similar sentiments, noting the media personality wasn't the man the fan described.
"@PhilipDwyer_MOI done a live from there, he said it was an electrical fault. Conor McGregor is an embarrassment and a person of low morals," the critic declared. A third agreed, stating a worker from the Black Forge Inn had confirmed the fire stemmed from electrical issues.

The criticism against McGregor continued, with social media users dragging him over his 2024 rape case. Someone labeled the athlete "an attention seeker," while another implied the fire at the pub was the universe punishing him for the assault.
"He is a rapist, an addict, and a thug. Full stop," a third added, while more X users refuted the fan's claims about McGregor's charitable nature. "McRapist is a rackrent landlord, you simping clown," a critic declared.
A social media user agreed, noting they were "yet to see who will be housed there! Hundreds of millions my arse!"
TMZ shed more light on the fire at McGregor's pub, reporting that Ireland law enforcement sources noted the incident occurred around 3 AM. They shared that the blaze barely damaged the facility as firefighters responded quickly and put out the flames before they could spread.
The Fire Isn't The First Incident McGregor Has Faced

The outlet shared that no injuries were reported, and the cause of the fire remains under investigation. McGregor also assured fans and possible customers that there was no reason to be alarmed, giving social media updates despite currently yachting off the coast of Europe.
In a video capturing him in open waters, McGregor declared the pub was "open for business" despite the fire. He added that there was no damage to the venue, claiming, "You wouldn't get through it with a rocket launcher! She's spotless!" The incident marked the second time his Inn had nearly burned down.
Three years after purchasing the pub in 2019, the Black Forge Inn caught fire but miraculously escaped the incident with minimal damage.
McGregor seemingly boasted about his good luck after his establishment survived its second blaze, sharing an aerial snap of the place alongside the words "UNBEATABLE!"
The Mixed Martial Artist Lost Endorsement Deals After The 2024 Verdict

Last November, The Blast covered McGregor's fall from grace after he was found liable in a civil sexual assault case brought against him by Nikita Hand. Several brands ended their relationship with the mixed martial artist following the verdict, except one.
The Swedish fitness brand Boxbollen, one of McGregor's key collaborators, refused to abandon him amid the backlash surrounding the assault case. Jacob Eriksson, the brand's co-founder, shared his support for McGregor in a statement, saying:
"At Boxbollen, our mission is to inspire healthier, more active lifestyles. Conor McGregor has been a significant partner in promoting the importance of movement, fitness, and overall well-being."

Besides Boxbollen, McGregor's longtime fiancée, Dee Devlin, supported him throughout the case. The Sun shared that her love for her beau was unshakable even after he went viral for allegedly cheating on her days earlier.
The paparazzi captured McGregor kissing an unidentified woman on the beach, going so far as to lay down a towel for her and enjoy her company. While many suspected Devlin would address the cheating rumors, she shocked fans by remaining faithful to her fiancé.
Instead of calling McGregor out or addressing the kiss, Devlin updated her Instagram Stories with pictures from her time with the athlete. She uploaded the lovey-dovey images of the couple to commemorate her partner's birthday, seemingly signaling her willingness to stay by his side no matter the trials.
