Bravo Reportedly Offering Jax Taylor A Path Back To 'The Valley' Under One Condition

Bravo viewers were stunned last week when Jax Taylor announced he was leaving "The Valley" after only two seasons.
In his statement, the villainous reality star claimed he was stepping away from the cameras to focus on his health.
However, a source close to the show's production company revealed Taylor was practically forced to quit; otherwise, he would have been fired.
Now, that same source claimed that because Taylor resigned instead of being let go, he has a path back to Bravo, but only if he can follow one crucial rule.
Jax Taylor Might Not Be Done With Bravo And 'The Valley' Just Yet

Taylor first announced his departure from the series in a statement, saying, "After an incredibly challenging year and many honest conversations with my team and producers, I'll be stepping away from the next season of The Valley."
"Right now, my focus needs to be on my sobriety, my mental health, and coparenting. Taking this time is necessary for me to become the best version of myself, especially for our son, Cruz," he continued.
Taylor's statement blindsided his cast members, who, according to a source, "were not given any advance notifications."
But was this all part of a larger plan?
Jax Taylor Reportedly Has Support From Bravo Producers

According to a report from The US Sun, Taylor "still has the support of certain production members," specifically the show's executive producer, Alex Baskin, "who didn't want to kick him while he's down."
Baskin, who also works as an EP on "Vanderpump Rules," reportedly has a "deep history" with Taylor, considering they've known each other for over a decade.
“It was not a unanimous decision, but it was ultimately decided that if he didn’t walk away, they’d have to let him go," the insider later claimed, adding, "So, he basically was forced to resign to avoid getting fired."
The source went on to say that because Taylor resigned, the "House of Villains" star's "future with Bravo isn't done," so long as he can follow one rule.
“They have already had open talks about certain steps he can take for him to come back. The door is open if he can get healthier," the source said.
Baskin Previously Spoke About The Backlash The Network Received For Platforming Jax Taylor

Taylor's exit followed intense fan backlash over his behavior, which included allegations from his estranged wife, Brittany Cartwright, that he had thrown furniture at her.
During a previous interview, Baskin acknowledged the criticism and admitted that he and his team were "trying to figure out how to tell the story responsibly and fairly."
Baskin also noted that his job as a producer is to document the reality of the cast's lives.
“If we didn’t tell the story in its completeness, then we would be covering up something that really happened and denying Brittany the chance to share what she had been through," he stated.
Taylor Cried While Watching Himself In Season 2 Of 'The Valley'

And it seems the fans weren't alone in their thinking.
Taylor himself admitted he initially struggled to watch scenes of himself from "The Valley" season 2, but when he finally did, he had an intensely emotional reaction.
"I did watch it. I sat in the corner and I cried my eyes out. I was so disgusted about what I saw, about that shell of a human being that I was looking at, about how I acted," Taylor told his co-star Tom Schwartz. "It was just utter disgust. And, you know, I looked at it like, 'Wow. I'm glad I watched this because I never wanna be that person again.'"
Taylor Warned Fans About His Behavior Before The Show Began Airing

Taylor even spoke about his behavior before the season aired, warning fans that his actions were "really, really bad."
"The last thing in the world I want right now is for you guys to see what happened to me last year," he said. "But I gotta look at the silver lining, you know? I hope to help out somebody that's going through what I'm going through. I think men's mental health is kind of looked over. I want to share my story."
"It was a really, really, really tough year for me. The only reason I'm still standing right now is because of my son," he continued. "There were some dark moments where I was just like, I don't want to be here anymore. But I could never be that selfish and do that to my kid."
