Nicole Kidman is reportedly seeking to secure a residency permit in Portugal and may spend more time in the sunny European country.
However, Kidman's husband, Keith Urban, was not mentioned in the official documents, prompting insiders to give a reason why he was not included in the application.
This comes shortly after Keith Urban abruptly walked out of an interview after being asked an "uncomfortable" question about Nicole Kidman.
Nicole Kidman Wants To Secure A Permanent Portuguese Residency

Kidman is currently in the process of making Portugal her new home. According to the New York Post, the "Babygirl" actress has applied for Portuguese residency, which could mean she'll join a growing list of celebrities who have chosen the country as their permanent or second home.
Earlier this week, local news outlet SIC Notícias reported that Kidman submitted her paperwork to the country's Agency for Integration, Migration and Asylum (AIMA).
The actress, who was seen disembarking from a private jet in a wealthy neighborhood just outside Lisbon, is said to be looking for a lavish property in the affluent, 722-acre CostaTerra Golf and Ocean Club, a plush development about 81 miles south of Lisbon.
The luxury area already has some celebrities within its gates, including George Clooney and Paris Hilton. It is also a base for royal family member Princess Eugenie and is said to be the area where Prince Harry and Meghan Markle reportedly purchased a property last year.
Why Keith Urban's Name Was Missing From The Application

Meanwhile, curiously absent from Kidman's application was her husband, country music star Keith Urban.
According to the news outlet, Urban's name didn't appear on any document, initially sparking speculation that they may be on different pages concerning the European stay.
However, reports suggest that he was unable to create the documents because he was on tour at the time.
"Keith was unable to be in Portugal for this appointment as he is currently on tour in the U.S. and it is mandatory for applicants to be physically present in order to apply for the visa," a source close to the situation told the New York Post.
"He is scheduled to submit his application at a later date that works with his tour schedule. While Nicole and Keith own a home in Portugal, their primary residence will continue to be in Nashville," the insider added.
Nicole Kidman And Keith Urban's Impressive Real Estate Portfolio

Kidman and Urban tied the knot in 2006 and have since amassed an impressive real estate portfolio.
The couple, alongside their two children, Sunday Rose and Faith Margaret, split their time between Australia and the U.S.
According to reports, they purchased two penthouses in the exclusive North Sydney Latitude building and combined them to create one large condo.
Their first joint project came one year after their wedding when they completed the deal on a 36-acre estate in Franklin, Tenn., for over $3 million. The following year, they upgraded to a luxury mansion in Nashville's exclusive Northumberland community.
The couple's portfolio also boasts properties in Manhattan, Sydney, and New South Wales.
Keith Urban Hangs Up On Call After 'Uncomfortable' Question About His Wife

Kidman and Urban have been married for nearly 20 years now and are still growing strong in their relationship.
The country music star appears to take a no-nonsense approach to anything related to his wife, and he made this clear when asked about the actress's steamy movie scenes.
Earlier this month, the Grammy winner called into Mix 102.3's "Hayley & Max in the Morning," where hosts Hayley Peterson and Max Burford prepped him for a "very tricky … deeply personal question."
Fully aware of what the question was, Peterson admitted she was "uncomfortable" with it, but Burford took over.
"What does Keith Urban think when he sees his beautiful wife with beautiful younger men like Zac Efron having these beautiful love scenes on TV?" he asked, per Page Six.
Urban, however, didn't reply before a producer announced that the singer and his team had "disconnected from Zoom."
The Hosts Of The Show Seemingly Regretted Asking The Nicole Kidman Question

The hosts of the radio show seemed regretful after Urban hung up on them due to their question about Kidman.
Reacting to his abrupt exit, the producer said, "I think his team hung up on us because they didn't want us to ask that question."
Peterson insisted that it was "100 percent what happened" as she "knew" it would, exclaiming, "He's gone!" She added, "He doesn't like talking about his wife."
