MGK & Megan Fox Land In Costa Rica Following Malcolm Jamal-Warner's Death

Machine Gun Kelly and Megan Fox's family vacation in Costa Rica comes right after the death of Malcolm-Jamal Warner.

The former couple appears to be coparenting well as they touch down in the Central American nation with their infant daughter for a much-needed family vacation.

Machine Gun Kelly and Megan Fox's trip comes a few days after popular actor and TV star Malcolm-Jamal Warner passed on after a drowning accident at a Costa Rican beach.

Despite the cordial atmosphere around the couple when they touched down at an airport in Liberia, they are still just coparenting. MGK and Fox parted ways romantically last November while the actress was still pregnant with their daughter, Saga Blade Fox-Baker.

According to TMZ, the couple both donned casual outfits, as Fox held her baby in her arms while fully dressed in a gray hoodie and sweatpants. MGK opted for a black hoodie paired with red baggy pants.

While the former couple may have made plans for their vacation in the country, it, unfortunately, coincides with the loss of Warner, which occurred on Sunday and has cast a shadow of grief over Hollywood.

The former couple's baby's arrival came with a bow on top as Megan vividly recalled that she and her rapper ex had no plans whatsoever to parent a child together.

Alongside a couple of sultry portraits, the actress revealed that she was six weeks pregnant and had been unaware of her pregnancy while posing for the cameras.

She proceeded to drive home a cogent lesson about the myth behind women and the hypothetical expiry date theory, which is constantly propagated by the patriarchy.

Fox declared in the post that "women are eternal light beings," who should never let naysayers rob them of their power. For her, if she can bring forth a life at 38, then impossible is absolutely nothing.

Despite her split from MGK in the middle of her pregnancy, sources close to them affirmed that they are beyond happy to be co-parents to their newborn. She is open to MGK being a part of Saga's life, even if the chances of them getting together are bleak.

With Sage, Megan is now a mom of four, having welcomed three children with her ex-husband, Brian Austin Green. MGK also shares a daughter with his ex-girlfriend, Emma Cannon.

The Blast shared that the actor reportedly died after drowning in Playa Cocles. The beach is known for its consistent waves, making it a top spot for surfers. Warner's death was the last thing on his fans' minds as they expressed how terrible it felt to lose such a young talent.

Some fans described him as a shining light and positive influence in the black community who had left the world too soon with so much to offer. Warner was known for many talents, including spoken words, directing, and a very distinct style of storytelling.

Aside from "The Cosby Show," the actor remained a constant presence on television and film, with notable performances in "Reed Between the Lines," "The Resident," and "Suits."

He did not stop at just movies; Warner also made his mark in music by clinching a Grammy win for Best Traditional R&B Performance for his project with Robert Glasper and Lalah Hathaway.

The Conversation confirmed that he was swimming at the beach located in Limon Province when a current pulled him offshore, mainly due to the very intense waves. 

According to the publication, during a storm, the rip currents at the beach where Warner drowned are at over two meters per second, which can pulse rapidly in strength and move an inexperienced swimmer miles away from the shore.

Rip currents are reportedly responsible for over 40 deaths annually in Costa Rica, with about half of the figure being terrorists from the United States and other countries. Sadly, Warner has added to the heartbreaking statistics.

Tourists' negligence reportedly also causes swimming accidents in the area, often due to not reading instructions, which may be a result of language barriers or overconfidence in their swimming abilities.

Currently, Playa Cocles holds the record for five drownings over eight days that happened over two decades ago. This incident prompted business owners to establish lifeguard stations along the shore.

In his death announcement by the Caribbean Guard on Facebook, they affirmed that he was swept away by a "strong hangover current," causing him to die by drowning.

Warner was pulled from the water with no sign of life- no breathing or movement. Attempts were made to resuscitate him via CPR, but they all proved abortive.

The volunteer lifeguard association continued that rescue operations did not arrive in time to prevent his death despite their heavy presence at the beach.

The Caribbean Guard Association affirmed that the beach is indeed a dangerous terrain, and while lifeguards religiously patrol the shore, they have never been around to rescue any victims.
