Kanye West has put his luxury Calabasas condo on the market after accumulating unpaid property taxes worth hundreds of thousands of dollars.
The rapper won the house from his widely publicized divorce from reality TV star Kim Kardashian. However, he doesn’t live in it.
He has reportedly been under immense financial pressure and is struggling to secure bookings for shows, as most people in the entertainment industry refuse to work with him.
Kanye West is Ready to Part With His Luxury House

Just last week, West put his three-bed, four-bath home located in the Calabasas Avanti enclave up for sale.
The luxury property, which features a minimalist architectural design, was first purchased for $1.6 million in 2017. Its value has almost doubled since 2017, and it is now on the market for a whopping price of $2.95 million.
The house was on and off the market before the rapper and his ex-wife’s separation was finalized. When they finally got divorced in November 2022, they were both granted joint legal custody of their four children, and West retained the Calabasas house.
It is reportedly located minutes away from where members of the Kardashian-Jenner family live. The house features European oak floors, a semi-private elevator, and several other modern finishes.
The Rapper is Facing Heavy Tax Troubles

West has reportedly not paid taxes on the luxury house since 2023. According to documents obtained by The Sun, he owes over $60,000 on the Calabasas property alone, and it has now been listed as “delinquent.”
However, that’s not all there is to the "Can't Tell Me Nothing" rapper’s tax troubles. As a businessman who owns multiple homes, he has also accumulated unpaid property taxes in recent years from his other properties.
The amount hovers at over $300,000 in tax debt, with the highest taxes from the Yeezy Headquarters located in West Hollywood.
Notably, just last year, West purchased a home in Beverly Hills with his second wife, Bianca Censori. The house, valued at $35 million, is a 20,000-square-foot property that boasts an outdoor pool, an entertainment pavilion, a pool house, and several other luxurious features.
Kim Kardashian’s Ex-Husband’s Financial Crisis Heightens

The listing of the Calabasas condo comes amid West's suffering a major career setback. West, one of the most prominent figures in hip-hop, is now facing a severe financial crisis following a string of scandals.
In recent times, he has boldly expressed his pro-fascist views, alongside several other social media remarks that were widely condemned.
His public support for Adolf Hitler in particular has caused the Atlanta-born rapper to struggle to get booked for shows, as he is not welcome in multiple locations worldwide.
Due to his pro-Nazi views, the father of four has been instructed to stay away from places such as Italy, Spain, Australia, Germany, and France. He has also been blacklisted from popular venues such as Wembley Stadium and the London Stadium in the UK.
Kanye West Requests Outrageous $7 Million Appearance Fee

Amid his expulsion, West recently managed to secure a gig at the Rubicon festival in Bratislava, the capital of Slovakia. The concert is set to take place in a 26,000-capacity venue.
The “Donda” rapper has reportedly requested a jaw-dropping appearance fee of $7 million. However, according to music insiders, the fee “makes no sense” considering the limited capacity of the concert venue.
In addition to that, several other factors threaten to tank the singer’s gig in Bratislava as citizens do not want to see him perform in their country. Over 3,500 people have now signed a petition calling for the rapper to be banned from performing in their homeland.
Slovakians who have opposed West's performance argue that allowing him to show up only glorifies wartime violence and serves as “an insult to historical memory.”
The Rapper’s Luxury Vehicle Was Recently Seized

West’s luxury vehicle was recently seized amid his financial struggles and inability to land performing gigs. The incident occurred in the parking lot of the Château Marmont in Las Vegas.
According to The Blast, the Yeezy mogul is a regular at the 5-star hotel. However, an embarrassing scene unfolded during one of his visits when his custom Maybach vehicle was towed away.
Footage surfaced online showing the moment the chrome-plated car was strapped onto a tow truck in the presence of a hotel employee and taken away.
The reason for the seizure of the “Donda” rapper’s vehicle remains unknown, but the Château Marmont is popular for having limited parking spaces. As such, it could’ve easily been an illegal parking situation or worse, the car may have been repossessed.
