In 2021 so far, Lil Nas X has been taking over as one of the biggest artists in the world again. In December, he closed out the year by releasing his "Holiday" single, which did very well as it ended up going platinum in the US. In March, he put out his "Montero (Call Me By Your Name)" single, which was receiving a lot of positive reviews but got a lot of hate for its music video. That was due to Nas X being seen twerking on Satan.

In a new TikTok video, Nas X discussed a random topic and this was women he would date if he were straight. He had a very interesting list as this included SZA, Billie Eilish, and Quenlin Blackwell, who is also very popular on TikTok. This is all while inserting photos of these women into the video as well. For many, these were viewed as very good choices, as they are all some of the biggest trending names on social media and very beautiful, too.
Nas X Released New 'Sun Goes Down' Single Last Month

Lil Nas X has a lot of momentum on his side right now in regards to his music, too. In May he released a new single, titled "Sun Goes Down." He also dropped the music video for it. One of the most popular lyrics was when he discussed his fandom over the years for Nicki Minaj in "Stanning Nicki mornin' into dawn." Prior to blowing up as a superstar in 2019, he had used his social media pages to show love to Nicki.
Nas X Sparked Controversy Over His Nike 'Satan Shoes'

A few months ago, Nas X also had social media in an uproar. This was due to him having his own pair of Nike Air Max 97 "Satan Shoes." This featured a Satanic emblem on the front of the sneakers as well as blood on the bottom. The sneakers were also listed for $1,018. Nike soon got a judge to stop the sales of the sneakers, as they did not approve of this. The lawsuit for trademark infringement was handed against MSCHF, who worked with Nas X on this collaboration. A settlement was then reached.
Nas X's Debut Album Expected To Be Released This Summer

Nas X is also expected to take over this summer, as well. Back in March, he said that his debut studio album would be out then, as it would be called "Montero The Album." As of now, there is still no official release date and it's unclear if that this is the same title that he will be going with. In the end though, many anticipate that this album will hit the number one spot on the Billboard 200 chart.
