Jason Aldean Mocks Viral Cheating CEO Despite His Own Infidelity Scandal

Country star Jason Aldean is catching heat after taking a swipe at a tech CEO whose career imploded following a viral cheating scandal, a move many fans are calling hypocritical given Aldean's own history with infidelity.

Jason Aldean recently posted on his Instagram Stories, "Bring your girl to the Aldean show before her CEO does. Just saying."

Of course, the social media post was poking fun at former Astronomer CEO Andy Byron, who was caught on the "kiss cam" cuddling with his Chief People Officer, Kristin Cabot, during a Coldplay concert at Gillette Stadium.

The jab didn't go over well with some fans, who quickly reminded Aldean of his own scandal.

In 2012, Aldean was married to his high school sweetheart, Jessica Ussery, when he was photographed kissing Brittany Kerr, an "American Idol" alum and former NBA cheerleader. Shortly after the photos went viral, Aldean issued a public apology on Facebook, admitting to behaving inappropriately.

"The truth is that I screwed up. I had too much to drink, let the party get out of hand, and acted inappropriately at a bar. I ultimately ended up embarrassing my family and myself," he said. "I'm not perfect, and I'm sorry for disappointing you guys."

At the time, Brittany Kerr also released a statement apologizing and saying she didn't realize Aldean was married when they first met.

Despite initially trying to work things out, Aldean and Ussery filed for divorce in April 2013, citing irreconcilable differences. In 2015, he married Brittany. The two have since welcomed two children together, Memphis and Navy, and regularly post about their family life on social media.

The CEO that Aldean mocked, Andy Byron, has since resigned from his position at Cincinnati-based tech company Astronomer Inc. following the public fallout.

In a statement shared to LinkedIn, the company addressed the incident without naming Byron directly, "Astronomer is committed to the values and culture that have guided us since our founding. Our leaders are expected to set the standard in both conduct and accountability, and recently, that standard was not met."

A spokesperson later confirmed it was indeed Byron and Cabot seen in the now-viral video, which shows the two embracing as the jumbotron zooms in, only for both to quickly turn away in apparent panic. The moment has since racked up millions of views across social media, igniting discussions about workplace relationships, public accountability, and now, celebrity hypocrisy.

As the internet continues to buzz over the viral "kiss cam" moment that led to Astronomer CEO Andy Byron's resignation, several celebrities have weighed in, and they're not holding back.

Chrissy Teigen expressed her disbelief at the public obsession, taking to her Instagram Stories to write, "I do not give two f-cks about these cheaters. My God, it's consuming you all. Are you OK?"

Bethenny Frankelchimed in with her signature snark. "What's wrong with a Motel 6? Who could you not run into at a Coldplay concert?" she asked, referencing the couple's very public outing. "It's not like it was a Metallica concert. … It's a pretty mainstream concert." She also questioned their logic, adding, "Dude! Astronomer. The 'Sky Full of Stars,' that's for shizzle."

Katie Nolan, ESPN personality and podcast host, couldn't believe how fast the clip spread. "Haven't seen something as white-hot viral as that video of the CEO cheating on his wife at a Coldplay concert in a while," she wrote on X. "Very unfortunate for them, but kind of nice for us? Almost reminiscent of pre-whateverthef-ckthisis internet."

Even Luke Bryan joined the conversation, cracking a joke during his July 17 show in South Carolina. "Who's here with their secretary tonight?" the country singer teased from the stage. "It's gotta be someone way up there that's, uh … yeah. Do not get caught tonight!"

As the fallout continues from the now-viral "kiss cam" moment involving former Astronomer CEO Andy Byron, a past leader of the company is weighing in. Ry Walker, who served as Astronomer's CEO from 2015 to 2019, took to X (formerly Twitter) to offer candid thoughts about Byron's character and the unexpected nature of the controversy.

"I've found Andy to be professional, I've only ever been on a call with him once," Walker wrote. "Everyone on the team has praised his leadership to me. So I think this is an unfortunate development that comes as a big surprise."
