Zoë Kravitz Sparks Weight Loss Concern With 'Malnourished' Appearance

Actress Zoë Kravitz is facing concerns about her health following comments that she looked "malnourished" and "thin" while walking down the street in New York City over the weekend.

"The Studio" actress was photographed leaving The Bowery Hotel in the East Village wearing a red Black History Month short-sleeve shirt, black track shorts, black heels, a black handbag, and sunglasses. While she sipped an iced coffee on her stroll, some were concerned that she was getting too "thin" following her breakup with actor Channing Tatum.

According to photos shared on Instagram, the actress was spotted outside of the Bowery Hotel in a baggy red shirt and black track shorts. One user said that she looked "malnourished" and called her appearance "sad" while another follower wrote, "I never noticed how tiny she is." One fan seemed to be in agreement, writing, "Too thin."

"She doesn't look healthy," another user added, while another netizen opined that she "HAS gotten much thinner after her breakup."

Although there were many comments critiquing her small frame, there were also a number of comments praising her outfit and her body shape. “She has always been petite and [had] a small frame,” one fan commented while another follower told the haters to "shut it and learn some manners."

"Everyone commenting on her weight is so obviously seething with jealousy. The gym is always open to you. Plus, some people really are that naturally thin. Maybe y'all should cry about it," another user chimed in while another fan assured the actress that she "looks gorgeous."

Many fans have been delighted that the "Batman" actress has been nominated for an Emmy earlier this month. She was recently nominated in the category of outstanding guest actress in a comedy series for her role in “The Studio.”

The Apple TV+ series also stars Seth Rogen, Catherine O’Hara, Chase Sui Wonders, and Ike Barinholtz. In the show, she plays a fictionalized version of herself and has appeared in multiple episodes. A second season of "The Studio" has been confirmed, but it is unclear if she will return to reprise her character.

Rumors that Zoë Kravitz and Channing Tatum were an item started in early 2021 after they met on the set of "Blink Twice," which Kravitz directed and Tatum starred in. Although initial reports said that the two were just friends, sources confirmed that they were in a relationship by September of that same year.

The two didn't pose together on the red carpet when they attended the Met Gala that same year, but they were spotted leaving the star-studded event together. The following month, they celebrated Halloween together with a couple's costume, leaving little doubt that they were indeed an item.

The following year, Tatum attended the premiere of "The Batman" with Kravitz's stepfather, Jason Momoa, hinting that they were already meeting each other's families.

In October 2023, Tatum and Kravitz became engaged. However, the following year, in October 2024, multiple sources confirmed that they had called off their engagement and split after three years together. Although it's not clear exactly what caused the split, insiders reported that it was amicable.

In February 2025, she told Elle that there was no animosity toward her ex and that their breakup didn't change how she felt about the film that they had made together.

“I love this thing that we made together, and I care for him very much,” she said months after the pair had called it quits.

She went on to say that the praise that Tatum received for his performance "warms" her heart, adding, “I’m so happy that all of it happened. I just feel so grateful that we got to go on that journey together.”

She went on to praise his talent as an actor and indicated that there were big things ahead for him in the future.

"He has so much more coming, and I think he’s in a place as an actor where he’s feeling really confident and people are seeing different sides of him,” she said. “He’s got a lot to offer, so I’m excited for people to keep witnessing that.”
