Rihanna Continues To Push Pregnancy Fashion Boundaries After Dad's Funeral

Rihanna is back in the spotlight with another bold maternity look, turning heads during her weekend night out.

The pregnant singer's latest appearance comes following the passing of her father, Ronald Fenty, who died on May 30 from complications related to heart and respiratory illness.

Rihanna is currently pregnant with her third child with longtime partner A$AP Rocky, with whom she shares two sons, RZA and Riot. 

Rihanna is making it clear that pregnancy will not stop her from pushing the fashion envelope.

Over the weekend, the singer stepped out for a late-night dinner at Giorgio Baldi in Santa Monica wearing a sheer bralette from her Savage Fenty line, paired with an oversized navy suit and an unknotted polka-dot tie. 

With her blazer left open, the look flirted with a wardrobe malfunction, but Rihanna did not seem fazed. The soon-to-be mother of three also wore two gold necklaces with the names of her sons, RZA and Riot, proudly displayed.

Her hair was slicked back into a low ponytail, and she kept her makeup soft and glowing for the early morning outing. Daily Mail reports that the dinner spot is one of her favorites, and Sunday's visit was no exception as she turned the sidewalk into a makeshift runway once again.

While the businesswoman might have attended the late-night dinner solo this weekend, BET reports her kids were by her side during her father's funeral service at the Garfield Sobers Gymnasium. 

Rihanna was seen holding baby Riot, while A$AP Rocky walked just behind her, carrying their oldest son, RZA. Her late father's fiancée, Rosemary, was also in attendance.

Though Rihanna and her father reportedly had a rocky relationship over the years, they were able to make peace before his passing. In a past interview, the star admitted that while he made choices she did not understand, she never stopped recognizing him as part of her. 

She later revealed that despite how he treated her mother, she had to acknowledge the good he brought to her life as a parent. "I had to come to terms with that, and I was able to close that gap with him," she noted. 

Before being laid to rest, details emerged about the cause of death of Ronald, who passed away at the age of 70. The Blast reported that his death certificate listed several serious conditions, including pancreatic cancer, severe pneumonia, and a bacterial lung infection that caused aspiration pneumonia. 

The document also shows he suffered from acute kidney failure and severe tubular necrosis, a condition that damages the kidneys. Ronald was pronounced dead at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles.

Rihanna's complicated relationship with her father was reportedly shaped by years of personal struggles and past trauma. The pop star spoke out about the difficulties she faced growing up around his addiction.

According to reports, she once recalled his substance use leading to constant fights with her mother, Monica Braithwaite, and how it impacted their family dynamic.

Rihanna, who revealed her third pregnancy at the MET Gala, has kept fans buzzing, not only with her fashion choices but also after her beau hinted that their next baby's name will continue a long-standing family tradition.

The Blast shared that the rapper appeared on "Late Night With Seth Meyers," where he opened up about their growing family. When asked if their third child would continue the "R" name streak, following sons RZA and Riot, Rocky did not hesitate.

"For sure," he said with a smile, confirming that baby No. 3 will follow the same naming pattern as both parents and siblings.
