Gwyneth Paltrow's upcoming biography, "Gwyneth: A Biography" by Amy Odell, reveals her hidden heartbreak over Brad Pitt's 2000 wedding to Jennifer Aniston.
The new book also sheds light on their failed engagement, strained by the actor's alleged jealousy of her success.
Meanwhile, in Gwyneth Paltrow's book, cheating claims made about another Hollywood star, Ben Affleck, have enraged the actor, who is said to be considering legal action.
Gwyneth Paltrow's Heartbreak Over Brad Pitt's Marriage To Jennifer Aniston

Paltrow may have seemed fine when Brad Pitt married Jennifer Aniston in 2000, but a new biography suggests her real feelings were the complete opposite.
In "Gwyneth: A Biography," author Amy Odell claims the "Shakespeare in Love" star, now 52, was quietly upset over her ex-fiancé's high-profile wedding, though she worked hard not to show it.
According to an excerpt from Us Weekly, Paltrow snapped at a reporter during the Toronto International Film Festival that September while promoting "Duets," directed by her late father, Bruce Paltrow.
When asked about Pitt's marriage to Aniston, the "Iron Man" actress allegedly shot back, "Are you really asking me this question?" giving the reporter an icy stare before adding, "I can't comment on this kind of thing."
Privately, however, Paltrow admitted to friends that hearing about Pitt's marriage had stung, and she was allegedly known to quip that Pitt "has terrible taste in women."
Gwyneth Paltrow And Brad Pitt's Whirlwind Romance And Why It Ended

According to an excerpt shared with People Magazine, Paltrow first met Pitt when she auditioned for "Legends of the Fall."
Although she didn't land that role, the "Fight Club" star reportedly pushed for her to play his wife in the 1995 thriller "Se7en," which began filming in 1994.
At the time, Paltrow was also considering a part in "Feeling Minnesota" opposite Keanu Reeves. When weighing her options, a friend is said to have teased, "Well, who do you want to date — Brad Pitt or Keanu Reeves?"
Author Odell writes that on set, Paltrow and Pitt quickly grew close, and the "two would walk around the set holding hands, and smoked cigarettes together outside their trailers, Gwyneth holding hers like a thirties movie star."
The pair got engaged in 1996, though cracks soon appeared. After Paltrow earned critical acclaim for "Emma" that same year, she allegedly confided in makeup artist Kevin Aucoin that Pitt "wanted to be with her but seemed to feel threatened by her success and all the attention she received."
According to Odell, "[Aucoin's] advice to Gwyneth was frank, 'You really need to end this." By 1997, the engagement was off.
Gwyneth Paltrow Reportedly Said Brad Pitt Is 'Dumber Than A Sack Of Sh-t'

Years later, when Pitt and Aniston famously split in 2005 following his affair with Angelina Jolie, Paltrow, while dining with Estée Lauder Companies executive Aerin Lauder, reportedly couldn't resist taking a jab at her ex-partner.
According to Us Weekly, a source familiar with the conversation claimed Paltrow told Lauder, "He's dumber than a sack of sh-t."
Reflecting on their breakup during a 2023 appearance on the Call Her Daddy podcast, the 52-year-old actress admitted she had been "totally heartbroken" after the split but still believed "It was the right thing at that time, but it was really hard."
"There were a number of things that had happened, he was nine years older than me — he knew what he wanted, he was ready to do it, and I was kind of all over the place," she said.
"Gwyneth: A Biography" hits shelves July 29.
Ben Affleck Reportedly Furious Over Cheating Allegations In Gwyneth Paltrow Biography

Meanwhile, according to reports, the upcoming biography is stirring controversy, especially with Ben Affleck.
Author Odell writes that while Paltrow and Affleck shared undeniable chemistry, his self-destructive habits, including alleged gambling and possible infidelity, may have contributed to their breakup.
But Affleck is reportedly not staying quiet behind the scenes.
British journalist, Rob Shuter, reports that the "Accountant 2" star is furious over the book's claims, particularly suggestions of cheating and personal turmoil during his early 2000s relationship with Paltrow.
Ben Affleck Might Take Legal Action Over The Claims In The Biography

Though Affleck has made no public statement about the claims in the Paltrow biography, insiders say his legal team has contacted the publisher, and he's actively weighing his options.
"He's not letting it slide," an insider said. "He's cleaned up his life — and he's not getting dragged backward for someone else's press tour."
They continued, "He's especially livid about the cheating rumors. It's baseless and unfair."
Highlighting Affleck's concern as a father, they added, "Now his kids are old enough to see this stuff."
