Blake Lively is letting her hair do the talking.
The 37-year-old actress shared a glam hair tutorial on Instagram Friday, casually treating her followers to a behind-the-scenes peek into her beauty routine.
The video comes days after Blake Lively suffered a legal setback in her ongoing lawsuit against "It Ends With Us" co-star and director Justin Baldoni, with the deposition date getting pushed back.

In the clip, Lively looked relaxed and composed as she walked fans through how she styles her signature locks using products from her own brand, along with L’Oréal spray and BaByliss hot rollers.
“I’m an old school devotee to hot rollers and mousse like my mama,” she wrote, before touting the seven-year process behind developing her beauty line’s clean, long-lasting formulas.
Lively Teases Major Blake Brown Drop After 7 Years of Development

Blake Lively then teased that something big was coming.
"We worked for 7 YEARS to come up with the best products possible that hit all these markers. We were able to crack every hair staple product except hairspray. We couldn’t find a solve that hit every single marker. So we didn’t launch with a hairspray. A year later… we may have a surprise for you …very soon."
The cheerful post stood in stark contrast to the legal chaos brewing behind the scenes.
Blake Lively And Justin Baldoni's Legal Drama Intensifies

On Wednesday, it was revealed that Lively’s deposition in her civil lawsuit against Baldoni was rescheduled to July 31. The actress is requesting that the session be capped at a single day and not exceed seven hours. Though federal rules support the seven-hour limit, complex cases often require multiple sessions, a possibility Baldoni’s team appears unwilling to rule out.
The deposition delay follows a court decision to dismiss one of Lively’s claims against PR strategist Jed Wallace, whom she had accused of spearheading a smear campaign at Baldoni’s direction. Wallace was removed from the lawsuit due to lack of jurisdiction, as his firm is based in Texas, not New York where the suit was filed. Lively’s camp has signaled they may pursue him elsewhere.
A spokesperson for Blake Lively said the ruling “has nothing to do with the merits of her allegations” and only reflects “the procedural question of whether he is subject to jurisdiction in New York or elsewhere.”
Lively Granted Venue Choice After Judge Rejects Publicity Push

Tensions also boiled over regarding the location of Lively’s deposition. Baldoni’s team initially pushed for it to be held at a high-profile Park Avenue law office in New York, which Lively’s lawyers claimed would create a media circus and potentially endanger the actress due to paparazzi presence.
Adding to the drama, Baldoni’s attorney, Bryan Freedman, previously joked the deposition should be livestreamed at Madison Square Garden, with ticket proceeds donated to domestic violence victims, an idea Lively’s team blasted as “a publicity stunt.”
Ultimately, Judge Lewis Liman sided with Blake Lively, allowing her to choose a more discreet venue. The judge also ordered Baldoni’s team to submit a full list of attendees ahead of the meeting and for Lively’s team to provide necessary printing and copying equipment.
Lively Announces Fan-Inspired Body Mists Amid Ongoing Legal Drama

Blake Lively’s Instagram hair tutorial didn’t just come out of nowhere. It arrived hot on the heels of a major brand milestone. The "Gossip Girl" alum recently announced the expansion of her beauty line, Blake Brown, with the debut of three new hair and body mists, directly inspired by fan feedback.
“This was a response to our community going, ‘Please make fragrance,’” Lively told PEOPLE at the time. “They were like, ‘I want to be able to refresh after the gym or throughout the day.’”
Ever relatable, Lively admitted she’s been known to walk through a cloud of dry shampoo just for the scent. “You're probably not supposed to do that, but I just love the smell,” she laughed.
The bottles, she added, were designed with both style and function in mind. “I wanted [them] to look like a retro perfume bottle… an elegance to them and sort of a glamour, but also be easy to throw in your bag.”
As tensions escalate between Blake Lively and Justin Baldoni, the spotlight is firmly fixed on their every move.
