Miley Cyrus has always been a fan of Beyoncé, and in a new interview, the former Disney star opened up about why she thinks everyone holds the "Cowboy Carter" singer in such high regard.
Miley Cyrus Believes Beyoncé Is A 'Top Tier' Artist
Speaking with Chris Olsen on SiriusXM's TikTok Radio, Cyrus, who collaborated with Beyoncé on her genre-bending album, "Cowboy Carter," explained that she considers Queen Bey a "top tier" artist.
"... getting to see her show live, it feels like a moment of where, you know, you talk to someone about getting to see, you know, Prince or someone that's the best of the best, Michael Jackson," she said.
Cyrus went on to praise Beyoncé's stage presence, stating the "JOLENE" singer possesses immense "grace" and "confidence" when she's performing.
"I think that she deserves to kind of have this queen essence surrounding her constantly, just because I do think it's so fluid between both of her worlds and between the persona and personally, it's always been really well integrated," Cyrus added. "It feels like who she is on stage is an elevated, kind of eccentric version of who she is day to day."
Cyrus Has Been A Fan Of Beyoncé For Years
II Most Wanted is out now on the new @Beyonce album #CowboyCarter
I’ve loved Beyonce since long before I had the opportunity to meet & work with her.
My admiration runs so much deeper now that I’ve created along side of her. Thank you Beyonce. You’re everything & more. Love… pic.twitter.com/8I0l02qvnF— Miley Cyrus (@MileyCyrus) March 29, 2024
Elsewhere, during her interview, Cyrus explained that she's been listening to Beyoncé's music since she was a child.
"My granddad got me a karaoke machine when I was in like late elementary school. And it came with 'Survivor.' It had like 10 songs built into the machine, and that was one of them. I would do that," she recalled. "And honestly, my life really has been such a manifestation."
Her admiration dates back decades, as shown in a red carpet clip from nearly 20 years ago where she expressed her excitement about seeing the "Crazy In Love" performer in person. "She's like my big role model," Cyrus said, adding, "So, it's really cool to see her."
Cyrus Sang With Beyoncé On Her Eighth Studio Album

Years later, Cyrus teamed up with Beyoncé to record a track for the iconic singer's eighth studio album. The song "II MOST WANTED" is a heartfelt duet that celebrates a deep, ride-or-die friendship and later won the Grammy Award for Best Country Duo/Group Performance in 2025.
After the song was released, Cyrus shared an emotional post on social media, thanking Beyoncé for giving her the chance to work together.
"I’ve loved Beyoncé since long before I had the opportunity to meet & work with her. My admiration runs so much deeper now that I’ve created along side of her. Thank you Beyonce. You’re everything & more. Love you," she wrote online.
And her adoration for the mother of three didn't stop there. Cyrus expressed a similar sentiment in June 2025 after she performed the single with Beyoncé in Paris, France, as part of the singer's record-breaking "Cowboy Carter" tour.

"Beyoncé, to be beside such a humble, gracious, legendary DIVA was a dream come true," Cyrus wrote on Instagram. "Thank you for the opportunity to perform in Paris together [and] sing our song about friendship."
"To have learned from you [and] loved you my whole life, [and] then be standing together in matching gold looks is more than I could've imagined," she continued.
In her post, Cyrus also thanked the "Cowboy Carter" crew for the special opportunity before adding, "Forever and always."
Queen Bey's Tour Continues To Dominate

While in France, Beyoncé's "Cowboy Carter" tour shattered box office records.
Not only did the three-night run gross over $39.7 million (€34.4m), according to LiveNation, but it also became the highest-grossing set of shows ever performed at the iconic Stade de France stadium.
The shows on June 19, 21, and 22 also set a new record for the highest-grossing single concert in the venue's history, pulling in over $13.2 million (over €11.4m) per night.
And the good news doesn't end there. Beyoncé also officially became the stadium's top-selling female artist ever, with over 215,000 tickets sold.
This all came days after the 43-year-old broke another set of records at London's Tottenham Stadium, where she performed six sold-out shows for over 275,000 fans, and grossed over $61.5 million (£45m) in ticket sales.
Beyoncé's "Cowboy Carter" tour will officially wrap after two performances at Las Vegas' Allegiant Stadium on July 25 and 26.
