Emma Watson is facing the music for her one-year-old traffic offence.
The "Harry Potter" star got into trouble for going above the speed limit nearly a year ago, and now her punishment dictates that she has to take a compulsory break from the driver's seat.
Emma Watson's penalty comes after she also got into trouble with the law last year for parking her car in a prohibited spot while she enjoyed drinks with friends across the road.
Emma Watson Paid Over £1000 In Court Fines

The “Harry Potter” actress was caught driving at 38mph on a 30mph lane in Oxford on July 31, 2024. She committed the traffic crime in a blue Audi with nine existing points on her license.
The High Wycombe Magistrates’ Court fined Watson a £1,044 fine on Wednesday alongside a six-month ban from operating a car. The actress was absent at the hearing, but her attorney, Mark Haslam, noted that the team understood that she had to pay the fine.
Watson was not the only “Harry Potter” star to suffer the consequences of breaking a vital traffic law. Her co-star, Zoe Wanamaker, also had her day in court today.
Like Watson, she was ordered to pay a £1,044 fine and an equal driving ban for driving at 46mph in a 40mph zone. As explained by the BBC, both movie stars earned three additional points to their existing nine points, which ultimately led to their six-month ban.
The 35-Year-Old Is Currently Studying In The United Kingdom

Watson's lawyer did not forget to inform the court that his client, who played the famous Hermione Granger in the "Harry Potter" franchise, is currently a student in the country.
The actress has reportedly been studying for a master's degree in creative writing at the University of Oxford since 2023. Watson graduated with a bachelor's degree in English literature from Brown University in Providence, Rhode Island, in 2014.
She rose to fame as an actress following the release of "Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone," in which she starred alongside fellow child actors Daniel Radcliffe and Rupert Grint.
Her most recent film role was in the 2019 film "Little Women," directed by Greta Gerwig. Aside from acting and studying, Watson ran an online feminist book club from 2016 to 2020, where she discussed books written by women authors and about women.
The Actress' Car Was Towed At A Pub Last Year

Earlier in 2024, Watson's Audi A3 was towed by law enforcement after she parked it in a "no parking" spot. The £30,000 vehicle was reportedly docked outside a car park entrance in Stratford-upon-Avon while she drank the evening away with friends.
The Daily Mail confirmed that the tow team was summoned by a frustrated car owner who managed the Red Hot Mamma pizzeria and was unable to move out of the premises.
Watson soon learned of the developing situation outside the pub, but her late pleas for the police not to tow the car off fell on deaf ears. She either had to pay £192 to free her car or a further charge of £26 for every day that the vehicle remains in custody.
Watson Reportedly Has A New Man

Away from all the car drama, the actress has recently experienced a new romantic addition to her life. According to Elle, Watson was spotted sharing a kiss with her fellow student, Kieran Brown, in Oxford last July.
Her last known relationship was with Brandon Green, son of entrepreneur Sir Philip Green, in 2022. They reportedly parted ways the following year, and since then, it has been crickets until 2024.
Brown is reportedly a PhD student at Oxford, majoring in 19th-century literature and economics. The pair is reportedly bonding over their love for literature and “literary theory,” which is the core of Brown’s thesis.
After pictures of them kissing dropped, the couple was photographed on a date at a Gail’s Bakery spot near their school on July 5, 2024. The duo is seemingly very private about their relationship, but a source shared that they spoke to each other throughout the time they spent in line.
Emma Watson's Break From The Big Screen Was A Yearning For Freedom

In 2023, The Blast reported that the actress opened up about why she had to step away from the glitz and glamour of Hollywood. According to her, she felt frustrated due to the lack of control over her creative rights.
She admitted to feeling caged and helpless as she could not bring herself to sell something she had no control over its production to the public.
"I was held accountable in a way that I began to find frustrating because I didn't have a voice; I didn't have a say," the star shared during the interview session.
Since leaving acting for a while, Watson has tried her hand at other creative adventures, including directing. In 2022, she wrote and directed an ad campaign for luxury designer brand Prada's Paradoxe fragrance.
