Miley Cyrus is typically very guarded about blurring the lines between her personal and public life, but the star is revealing her sanctuary in a beautiful feature by Architectural Digest that showcases the technicolor dream house. Even more impressive, the house was designed by Miley’s mom, Tish Cyrus, who talked about keeping her daughter’s eclectic style in mind throughout the designing process.
Back in 2020, Miley scooped up a lavish piece of property in the gated community of Hidden Hills after selling off the home that she and her ex-husband Liam Hemsworth lived in following the tragic Malibu wildfires that destroyed much of the property.
Revealing her fairy tale backyard with lagoon-style pool and rock staircase, Miley Cyrus told Architectural Digest:
“I’m from Nashville, so I grew up on a 500-acre farm with my dad, and we didn’t have any neighbors. None of us ever had shoes or clothes on. We just ran around the farm. We don’t get to do that quite as much here, but I still feel like in my backyard there is a sense that I’m kind of in Nashville again.”
While sharing some great photos from the inside of her home, it was revealed that Tish Cyrus, along with the help of a partner, were in charge of the entire intior design.
“My wheelhouse is very much boho chic. In my own house, I like everything neutral. But with Miley, it’s got to feel rock and roll. There’s a lot of color. Technicolor,” Tish told AD.
She added that, “My biggest thing is that when you walk into someone’s house, I want you to know who lives there, what their personality is, what they love, and what they’re like. I know Miley so well, and we’re so close, so I was really able to do that.”
