Jeremy Renner is finally breaking his silence on the serious allegations his ex-wife, Sonni Pacheco, made against him during their high-profile custody battle nearly five years ago.
In a new interview, Jeremy Renner opened up about navigating false accusations, the toll of public scrutiny, and where things stand now between him and Pacheco.
Jeremy Renner's Ex-Wife Once Accused Him Of Drug Use And Death Threats

Renner and Pacheco quietly tied the knot in 2014 after welcoming their daughter Ava the year prior. However, their marriage was short-lived. Pacheco filed for divorce later that same year and sought sole custody of their daughter.
Court documents at the time, obtained by TMZ, included explosive claims that Renner had used drugs, threatened to kill Pacheco, and allegedly fired a gun in their daughter's presence, accusations Renner has long denied.
Renner Says Abuse Allegations Were 'Clickbait'

Speaking about that period now, Renner says the allegations were devastating and far from the truth.
"Being accused of things you've not done… it doesn't feel good to anybody," he told The Guardian in a new interview. "It certainly doesn't feel good when you're a celebrity and it's known to everybody."
He went on to explain how he coped with the media firestorm and false narratives. "Whatever stress I've had in life, I've tried to find a way of laughing through it," he said, before directly addressing the 2019 headlines. "It's clickbait, and it hurts my feelings and it dehumanizes people."
Jeremy Renner Opens Up About Co-Parenting And Moving Past The Drama

Despite the serious nature of the past accusations, Renner says that he and Pacheco have since moved on and are now in a better place. "We get along very well, and we're in each other's lives. It's lovely… She's got a new baby and she sends me beautiful pictures." Pacheco welcomed daughter Wylder Rayne in March 2023 with retired NHL player Nathan Thompson.
Renner also downplayed the drama of their legal proceedings, describing the custody discussions as "easy." "That's just lawyers talking. That's lawyers arguing," he said.
As for the public's perception of their past relationship and custody battle? Renner isn't concerned. "It's no one's business," he said firmly. "They're saying it for their own reasons and not for the right reasons or the truth. And I'm used to that, because I'm a public figure. I don't read people's reviews, I don't read people's comments. I don't care. That's not part of my life."
Renner Says He 'Died' In Harrowing Snowplow Accident

Two years after surviving a nearly fatal snowplow accident, Jeremy Renner is opening up like never before, and his revelations are nothing short of chilling.
In his new memoir "My Final Breath," the Marvel star recalls the horrific events of New Year's Day 2023, when he was crushed by a 14,000-pound PistenBully Snowcat while trying to help a family member at his Lake Tahoe home. Renner says he was conscious during the entire ordeal and vividly remembers the moment his body gave out.
"As I lay on the ice, my heart rate slowed, and right there, on that New Year's Day... I just got tired," he writes. After nearly 30 minutes of "breathing manually," Renner says his body finally gave in. "That's when I died," he continues. "I died, right there on the driveway to my house. I know I died. In fact, I'm sure of it."
Jeremy Renner Recalls Seeing His Eye After Snowplow Accident

According to Renner, EMTs later confirmed his heart rate had dropped to just 18 beats per minute, a point he describes as "basically dead." Despite the trauma, the actor says he experienced "an exhilarating peace" during the near-death episode, describing a surreal vision of energy and timelessness. "There was no time, place, or space... I could see my lifetime. I could see everything all at once."
The "Avengers" actor also spares no detail in recounting the physical devastation the machine inflicted on his body. "Six f-cking wheels, seventy-six steel blades, 14,000 pounds of machine, all ranged against one human body," he writes, listing injuries that included broken ribs, a collapsed lung, crushed eye sockets, and fractures throughout his body.
The damage was so severe that at one point, Renner says, "I could see my left eye with my right eye."
Renner has been gradually returning to the public eye since his near-fatal snowplow accident in 2023 and is set to star in "Wake Up Dead Man: A Knives Out Mystery." His Paramount+ drama Mayor of Kingstown has also been renewed for a fourth season.
